More than I'd like to spend I think I will be going Ayre unless anyone has any other suggestions in the ~ $1500 range.- The analog thread.
Anyone have suggestions for a phono-stage with a true balanced output? I'm considering either XOno or Ayre PX-5 right now, but leaning more towards the Ayre since I found the Ono a touch on the dry side in my system.- Prototypers wanted

Steven Wilson/Mikael Akerfeldt's collaboration project Storm Corrosion has leaked. It's different from Grace For Drowning and Heritage. It's more of an ambient album with progressive rock elements. I've listened to it twice and I think it's damn good (though I think I slightly favor Grace For Drowning). I can make certain comparisons to Scott Walker's Tilt and The Drift, though it's not as dark as either of those. Steven Wilson has said there was essentially no mastering stage. What you hear in the mix is the final album. Also there is NO compression at all. And it shows, even on the crappy transcoded MP3 it has classical music type dynamics. Hoping they do a tour and stop in Bahston- The Headcase Stax thread
I'm not gonna mess with them. Like I said in the previous page I had screwed up the polarity when I rewired the system after moving it.- Sennheiser HD 800 Redux
Those two do get along- Official Hockey Thread - 2011/12 Edition

I did a Google search when he told me exactly what it is. The wiki article didn't exactly answer the second question, which was regarding where to purchase similar porosity. Pretty pictures though!- The Headcase Stax thread
rofl I had the speaker connections going into my EL34 integrated hooked up wrong so the polarity was all wacky with the Lambdas. They sound much better now. Thanks for the wool tips Birgir- The Headcase Stax thread
Any suggestions for a source with similar porosity to the original? Did a shootout yesterday and they did not fair as well as my HD600/Equinox Though I think I am just spoiled by O2/SR-Omega and my fondness for them the last time I owned them was when I didn't have any Omega. - The analog thread.
