Cool thread. Today I woke up at 9:30am, played video games, mowed the lawn (reminds me its that time of the year to bump an old thread). Then my girlfriend came over and we ate lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Then I met my parents for dinner at Morrisons. Then more video games, then music.

me and my girlfriend are taking our vacations the week after July 4th, and we are thinking of heading up Atlanta way to see Boris play. Anyone ever seen Boris live? I can't imagine it would be anything but amazing, but I still wanted to ask. this would mean I'd see Tom Waits and Boris in the same week. sweetest week ever.

The HA-2 is long out of production. I bought it used in the for sale forums here.

I think I'm ready for that Nate, I'll send you a PM. I'm doing vinyl through this thing for the first time, and the result is just exhilarating. I'm glad I don't have work tomorrow because I want to listen for a while.

Arrived on Thursday, I got it on Friday: I've had a couple of days to listen to it, and it really is a superb HD650 amp. Reminds me of the first time I fell for the HD650 with the PPX3 Slam. Impossible to say which is better since I haven't owned the PPX3 for over a year. The bass is in total control and reaches lower then I recall it ever reaching (I have actually turned around a couple times to make sure my 22Ls weren't on). The amp makes the HD650 do all those lovely audiophile things, like create a nice space around guitar plucks and the like. Also does a damn fine job of recreating electric guitar crunch. This amp has certainly made rediscovering my HD650s a lot of fun. I can say with authority its a richer and more balanced sound then with the single ended Dynahi. Soon we'll see what the Balanced Beta22 has to say about the Wheatfield and HD650s. This is also the hottest running amp I've ever owned. I could scramble an egg on this bitch.

I need a KGSS, but I want a Blue Hawaii.

the flaming lips are just out of this world good. that clip of "yoshimi" on the second bonnaroo DVD is transcendental.

Baroness - Red Album. This one was recommended by an old friend of my girlfriend who we ran into at the Ministry concert. He instantly knew I was good for Melody (my girlfriend) because I had on a King Crimson shirt. So I'm thinking this one will be good. Ministry - Psalms 69 Ministry - Cover Up

even if it just works as a DAC, you got the most smoking deal on a DAC I've ever seen. Congrats!

Great looking combo tkam. I love the black. It'd be great to hear some impressions from you, maybe a comparison between speaker rig and OII rig listening experiences.

I try to love deeply with no attachments. Is it possible to achieve this state? I don't know. Before this past December I was coming off 2.5 years out of a super fucked up relationship. Reality is perfect, because apparently I just needed that time. Then, once I decided I didn't need someone else to make me happy, I met someone else (Laine is right, thats the way it always works). She's a wonderful girl I've been seeing for some months now. She's crazy, but just fun crazy like I am, not insane like the ex (or like I was when I was dating my ex). Anywho, PJ and Headcase loves you X, so I hope that helps carry you through.

Mike, this question might have been answered already, but what kind of component rack is that? Looks snazzy.

For me, to SA or not to SA is a question a pure preference. I like the feel of the little clickie things. Whenever I end up buying an HR Desktop (let's face it, its an inevitability), I'll probably opt for the SA. As I'm sure you know the HR SA is very stiff, much stiffer then a DACT. -
i did the WOW thing for a little over a year before total burn out set it. Played EQ2 a bit, but never really got into it. I currently tinker with LOTRO once every couple of weeks, but I can't seem to get back into the grind.
