  2. waits tickets.
  3. that last scene was awesome. great episode all around.
  4. tkam, where'd you get your kgss? If its humanflyz'z I'm jealous.
  5. Cool, I didn't know they were out yet.
  6. The Stand. The final volume in the recent post apocalyptic literature spree I've been in.
  7. hopefully this transaction will result in another epic feedback thread.
  8. Downloading shows from places like bt.etree.org is what screws me over. I simply don't have the time or energy to burn them all to audio CDs, although that's the dream. I now have two 500gb drives and one brand new 1tb drive in addition to my regular HD which I believe is 500gb.
  9. I use a 15ft USB cable > HagUSB > Coax, it works great. I needed a long USB cable because I have to have my computer on the other side of the room in a different outlet to avoid a ground hum.
  10. someone with more IEM experience should step in, but I enjoy my ER4P directly of out my 1G shuffle. I believe in most circumstances with IEMs an amp really isn't necessary. i'm not the IEM expert though.
  11. It was hearing the HD650 on so many different amazing amps that made me give it a second look. I think it'll rock on the incoming balanced ?22.
  12. ah, okie dokie.
  13. strangely, all the HD650s at canjam has led me to blow the dust off my HD650 and break it back out. its still quite a nice headphone, and I like the way it treats vinyl. listening to "in rainbows" with it right now.
  14. Looks marvelous!
  15. To me there is a neutral, and it exists only in the HP1000. as for the D5000, I listened to it out of a Maxxed Headroom Desktop and just went apeshit over it. The next day out of Drew's Cary thing I wasn't as impressed. So it could've been the amp or it could've been me.
  16. Hey dom, jjhatfield/Jack here from HF. I bought your SACDs at Canjam, and now all I need is an SACD player. i thought you were supposed to be buying an HP1000?
  17. i'm pretty sure they both mean the same thing. I think "driver" is just the term that Stax uses to describe their amps. You might also hear about "adapters" or SRD-7s, which are basically something you hook up to a speaker amp that converts that power to something a Stax earspeaker can use.
  18. hehe. a mite out of my price range.
  19. i'm leaning heavily toward the krell. if its good enough for KG and justin, it's good enough for me. there are plenty for sale on agon, but i'd really prefer to get one in black. I'm watching agon pretty closely, but if anyone sees one come up in black give PJ a heads up.
  20. 24" here, though of course the leftside ads are a bastard on my iPhone, but I'm SOL there. still, i'm glad I learned about RIP in this thread, i've been playing with it.
  21. 6 tickets to B.B. King & Willie Nelson at The Wharf in Orange Beach, AL, July 26 2008. $78 a piece after fees. ah well, I guess if I look at it like I'm seeing two headliners I only feel mildly screwed over. I remember paying $33 to see Metallica when I was 15 and thinking how outrageous the price was.
  22. NO. FUCKING. WAY! ITS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE! no serum can cure all the pain i've endured from crack to rap to back to selling it raw  :prettyprincess: HAPPY BIRTHDAY X&1!!!1
  23. BHSE hater!! burn him!!!
  24. hate to do a recommend what I own type of thing, but the 840C is the most feature rich mid-fi digital source out there. Proprietary DACs that upsample to 24/384, digital input, CD transport just in case you want to spin a silver disc, XLR and RCA outs. And perhaps its biggest aural strength is that it does get the highs right. Its a pure win for mid-fi'ers all 'cross the head-case, as many happy owners will tell you. $1350 new, <$1000 used.
  25. the menace made grados as gradoey as i've ever heard them. i agree that it is a midrange beast, but i'll add that its a bass beast as well. it gave both the iHF-1 and RS-1 so much body. just really super lovely.
