  2. nice, I'll have to check it out. I've never had a Rocky Patel, but I have a Connecticut in my humi. Yesterday I smoked an Oliva Serie V Lancero. Very nice, and on sale at Atlantic Cigar. Box of 36 for under $100. Today it was a Nub Maduro. My first Nub. Neat cigar, it really does smoke as long as a regular size cigar, with extremely consistent flavor throughout.
  3. thanks naaman!
  4. you mean the swings shouldn't make a huge difference?
  5. Update: plasticky smell is gone. However, I'm having trouble keeping the RH from swinging. It likes to go from 65-68. At first I just had a half pound of Heartfelt beads in there, but I put in another full pound earlier this week. Didn't seem to help the swings that much. I then read about plugging the drain hole, which I did on both the inside and the outside earlier today using duct tape. We'll see how it looks after 24 hours, but as of now I've seen it swing from 65 to 67. The cigars look fine, but I did end up with a split wrapper on my Oliva Serie V Lancero I smoked today, one where I cut it (the non-foot end, don't know the terminology) and one about a centimeter long further up the stogie. I'm assuming this could be from the RH swings, but I'm not sure. The split wrapper in this case did not affect smokability. I examined all the other cigars, especially the ones that had been in there the longest, and they look fine. I may end up either hooking up an Oust fan or adding another pound of RH beads. Kind of makes me wish I would've opted for the 70% beads instead of fighting it down to 65%, but I'm too deep in to change now.

    Battlestar Galactica

Finally finished the series, so I can poke into this thread for the first time in a long time. I'm really surprised at the hate for the ending. I thought it was marvelous. Probably my second favorite TV series after "The Wire".

  8. So Grados have always been special to me with regards to electric guitar. I'm listening to the HF-2 now at extremely low volume, and even this quiet I can't believe how awesome the guitar solos on Drive-By Truckers' "The Dirty South" sound. Pure Grado midrange crunchy radness.
  9. nobody is touching my HF-2. I don't feel the need to woody a metal phone.
  10. oliva serie g. got a nice oliva score at the local b&m today. apparently it's oliva month. 10 olivas for $40. some G, some O, some V, some Nubs, some CT reserves.
  11. Vicki I had this problem, but it was solved by turning off the phone for a minute, turning it back on, restarting my computer, and plugging the phone in. sounds like you already tried this.
  12. Oliva Connecticut Reserve hell yes.

  20. happy birthday boss!
  21. it was different, but enjoyable. started out with a really easy draw, which weirder me out. but the taste was good, nothing amazing and intricate, but good. everything improved towards the end of the cigar. draw got more "normal", taste a little fuller. on the whole not bad for my newbie pallette. apparently they are like don pepin's budget brand. ooh, I bought some ronson lighters from wal-mart this week. much better then wood matches!
  22. tell me about this accident!
  23. tapatalk truly can't handle the epic threads. it displays the same 9 or 10 posts everytime when clicked on via the Latest Posts function. the "bought" thread always displays when deepak bought an L3000. . so I can't recommend it. I'm back to using mobile dot headcase via safari.
