  1. I was thinking he just might have been onto something with measurements of amb's stuff, until I saw those quotes "taken out of context" If you want people to take your arguments seriously, you're seriously going to have to cut back on calling people stupid and/or incompetent. The facts will speak for themselves.

Digging up a somewhat old post, but polar bears actually do this to distribute their weight across a larger area in order to avoid breaking through ice. Sorry if you already knew
  3. What DAC module did you guys hear the Sparrow with?
  4. I've always wanted a neon green K701!
  5. He said "punch" but mentioned guitars, so although his wording is weird he probably wants some form of mids. Check out the Shure closed headphones or something; there really isn't much to look at besides those and AKGs

    Wow. Talk about contradicting yourself.
  7. For the same price though, I would get a 450W-ish Antec/Seasonic/Corsair over a 750W Thermaltake.

Looks like a Touhou character to me.

    That is too amazing.
  10. Alternative to WD EARS if the "slowness" scares you is Samsung Spinpoint F3; using their 502HJ as the system drive and it's quiet, cool, and doesn't vibrate.
  11. ESW9 and ESW10 give you puppy dog eyes. Let them join? (y/n)
  12. Nike's Free series of shoes is of a similar concept, and looks like normal shoes except for a sliced up looking sole. Dunno if they're good though. Reviews of the original line were bad but the revisions seem to be doing fairly well.

What was Sarah Silverman talking about there anyway?
  14. You don't like metal? GTFO Just kidding, excellent post (yes, I did read it). Definitely lol'd at that last line.
  15. Four Tet's new album is quite fantastic. Can't stop listening to it.

These thiings are ugly as sin though

Really? I thougt it was really hilarious (in the "wow this guy is so bad" way)
  18. The 5750 is nice, but I'm pretty sure only the upcoming 56xx series meets your low PSU requirement, especially under load (since 57xx is ~15W idle, much higher load) 4670 was a definite low-power winner last time, and I'd definitely recommend the 5670 based on preliminary benchmarks like ATI Radeon HD 5670: DirectX 11 For $99 : Introduction - Review Tom's Hardware

    HF-2+K701 = I'm done
  20. In terms of silent PCs (not laptops) I would definitely recommend one or two very slow silent fans rather than completely fanless. It won't be noticeable and the tiny bit of airflow will create a huge difference in temperatures and stability. This is especially true if you're going to use standard hard drives instead of SSDs, since the fans won't be any louder than them. If you do decide to go for a desktop, placement of the tower away from your location can make it virtually inaudible. Unless your house is completely quiet.
  21. Not TOTALLY wrong, as it says 115V switch position is good for 100V-125V.

What vegetables and sauce? I'm a sucker for the sweet onion
  23. Thanks for reminding me, I'll have to dig it up from one of my many temporary downloaded music folders
  24. Last time I checked a shelf-full != a few
  25. Lars Horntveth - Kaleidoscopic Half of Jaga Jazzist brings a mesmerizing "soundtrack" that is good and also sounds wonderful.
