Until you need coax/opt inputs.- who here likes rap?
I kind of like old school b-boy style rap, when it was about having fun and stuff.- WTF is this? Nightmare Bug?
The larvae are called fucking hellgrammites. I hope I never have to see one in my lifetime.- Sigma 11 vs STEPS (for M3)
I thought it was a decent step up from the Elpac wallwart, but I'm not sure how you'll feel about it vs STEPS. If you can DIY it though, probably a good investment. If you don't like it, it's easy enough to sell or reuse on something else.- What are you listening to Part Two

- New DAC of interest...
It appears the Nova is now available for $1199. Sounds like it'd be decent enough pricing if the DAC is done well and the headphone amp isn't terrible. 6922 tube amp?- Rank Your Headphones
Wow, the X10 is that bad?- Oh boy... :rolleyes another XXX$ usb cable...
USB is a standard. It's ethically wrong to make a cable that doesn't meet those standards/specifications and market it otherwise.- Audio-gd Phoenix
Wow, looks like the Phoenix has some serious issues that should have been addressed before releasing it.- Audio-gd Phoenix
He came from the Corda Opera, so it's no surprise this tihng is omgamazing to him.- digital optical cable connector question
If you have a few spare dollars I recommend BlueJeans optical cables; I love their orange heatshrink. It gives it a more robust and vivid sound- Stupid M3 questions which I'm sure have been answered before...
I agree with gain@2, unless you know you listen to louder volumes, will never use anything sensitive, will never use anything other than low output sources, or need higher gain for stability with certain opamps.- What did you do today?
Definitely a good time. In the hectic mess of move out, that "vacation" was perfect. I'd never actually been driving around SB so it was nice to have seen some sights (and just the places in general). Thanks again Ken- Earphones for bicycling
Sennheiser discontinued them for some reason and last time I checked there were a few stores that claimed to have them in stock; I just assumed that some more serious searching could come up with more results. The lower model MX560 is pretty good, not as great but better form factor, that might be more available. And I have no idea about shipping to Canada, sorry.- What are you listening to Part Two
Mammal Sauce is the best metal song ever.- Earphones for bicycling
Sennheiser MX760 dammit! ... but the form factor is kind of stupid. The main earbud+cord is a Y-cord that reaches down to above the belt, making it worthless without a shirt pocket/armband/neckstrap mp3 player, or the added bulk of the extension cord. But oh does it sound good. Walks all over the PK3. And any earbud will be subject to wind noise in speedy biking- slow forum
Neat concept, but doesn't look very secure.- slow forum
I had no idea what it was until I saw your attempt, then I knew it had to be "do a barrel roll"... question is, "a" ?- Grado HF-2 thread
Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio - View Single Post - HF-2!!! 50 shipped per week, around 350 total orders so far- HD800? Another rumor?
It's okay, the REAL police have stepped in.- What did you do today?

My friend and I went to listen to Monster Beats Studio headphones. They sounded extra bassy. He mentioned that, not even "these are bassy and muddy" but like "these are kind of bassy" and the rep started telling us how they're studio accurate and lots of recordings have boosted bass. - Enlighted Audio Design(EAD) DACs
