  1. Just post the raw URL, no tags.
  2. I thought it was some kind of sheet plastic like Nate said until...
  3. Quail is solid (fat, heavy, plugs stay put like crazy, everything to expect from hospital grade) but they do have a minimum order of ~$50. I like their outlet multipliers, if you needed any ideas for filler.
  4. Pop is not musically terrible (IMO) but the terrible source quality never fails to amaze me. Every mainstream (top 40 etc) CD I've listened to recently, from Timbaland to Beyonce, has had terrible sound quality, and I would never truly test a system or component with it.
  5. I remember reading how it's not good to test the +/- to a driver and make it sound, so I always just test the plug end like nikongod said. But oops, I guess that won't tell you which ground is which.
  6. Just have a full color LED touchscreen with fully customizable GUI and all your problems are nonexistent.
  7. Find a less "amateur" looking font, or make the name a design
  8. I can talk you back into them, and tell you to reread the posts saying they're great on the go, but also great period, holding up against the legendaries.
  9. Personally I like enough traction so it *doesn't* slide so freely, and that's why the steelseries QCK pads are just right for me.
  10. Based on the cover, artist, and title I was expecting some black metal or at least something grungy and brutal.
  11. I will give mine away, but I have to go through some special procedures and shipping/handling will be $500
  12. I like Caviar Green's <5W idle power consumption, and of course lower vibrations from lower RPM What can I say, I like to put more restrictions on building PCs since plain old cost performance is too easy.
  13. If it's for plain data, I'd go with WD Caviar Green 1TB drives @ 5400rpm. Lower RPM means lower data rates, but if it's not critical like the OS/program files drive I find it perfectly acceptable. The only real reason I can see at this point to upgrade your E6600 is to go quad or something. If you want, you can easily overclock it (assuming your mobo, memory can handle it, etc)
  14. I have that. It's nice and pocketful, but it doesn't like to stand on its own.
  15. Using the stock cable now since I like single sided cables, and because I didn't have a 650 cable on hand. I did get a 580 cable with it, but that didn't fit well at all and fell out. I would like to try out the 650 cable since it's rumored to change the sound so much, but I don't have access to an affordable one right now.
  16. I got the HD25-1 II in a trade, using velours since pleather = MAD BASS BOOM BOOM, and still I think it's pretty bass extreme. However, it isolates fairly well, is surprisingly comfortable for a supraaural, doesn't sound terrible, and is easy to just toss in my bag to tote around. I no longer have the ESW9 to compare, but the HD25 is more exciting/excited, pushes the bass at you and treble is more prominent than with the ESW9. And I couldn't last very long with the ESW9 comfort either, but HD25 is fine for hours.
  17. Can someone compare the original batch to the new error batch? I believe that the blurry light engraving of the first, as well as the less edgy shape of I as opposed to 1 will give the vintage HF-2 a better tonality due to the difference in resonant quality of earcups.
  18. Pico amp does a respectable job at it, but it will sound fuller, more "complete" overall with a good desktop amp. I only have experience with the M^3 (good) and other high end amps, hopefully I can try it with GS-1 soon.
  19. I've heard enough mp3 players (including my friend's Zune) to say (at least for myself) that their DAC capabilities aren't as great as standalone DACs (including the Pico) probably because of size and power constraints of portable players. I've yet to hear an iMod, but everything else (like iPods+docks) doesn't quite reach the level of not-PMPs.
  20. Same deal, Pico is very respectable as a DAC and even as an amp, but if you can swing it try for a GLite or M^3 or something. Zunes are great and all, but for home listening I would get a standalone DAC. Good choice on the K701 by the way, even though many here will tell you otherwise. If it's a better choice than the HF-2 for you... that is unknown. HF-2 isn't very "Grado" sounding
  21. What do you think of K701 soundstage?
  22. If you ask me, F1 is kind of funny and adds a bit of value to the limitedness. Perfect for HC members who would rather not have HEAD-FI on their HF-2.
