^ the one I recall was in a circuit (don't remember what it was exactly) that wouldn't draw enough current for the negative regulator to go into regulation. Increased the load and it would regulate. Replaced with a Fairchild (and then an ON) and both worked perfectly.
EDIT: remembered what it was in: a dynahi board (+/- 15V regs for the servo opamps). 1 opamp would not pull enough current to convince the STM neg regulator that it should, umm, regulate. No problems with the other brands mentioned.
Sorry about your daughter Salty! Hope she heals fast!
And sorry for your car lending experiences Wayne!
Me: took off a couple hours early from work and rode 21 miles in 1:27, so about 14.5mph. Better, still sucks. Beautiful day out!
Thanks for the kind wishes all!
Unfortunately, a project at work got in the way of doing anything fun (got home at 9 last night). I'll make up for it this weekend
Did get a nice pair of bib shorts though!
Doug,
I'm not Salty, but I went ahead and pdf'd the ratings and sent it your way... sitting here waiting for something at work, and I owe you anyhow
Chris
I used to have a Pedja Rogic NOS DAC (which morphsci has now) which used a CS8412 (DIP). I also bought a CS8414 SMD on a converter board. I did not do any serious listening tests between them, but the CS8414 provided quicker lock as well as locked on more/higher rates (24/96), so this is what I left in it. Never tried the DIR9001, but it might provide more of the same?

I do have (2) of the Rev. C Dynalo boards left. I could part with one. PM me with your address and what you consider fair and we'll go from there.
BTW, the link Marc posted was a Dynalo, not a Dynahi.
Came home from work a bit early, but had to run an errand. When I got that done, I rode 16.46 miles in 1:09, so 14.3mph. Better, still sucks. Light wind, 8E, felt good. Was going to do another 5-6 miles, but got a phone call and had to come home
BL if you can get them (same for 2SK170).
Is Amb out of Dynalo boards? I may have one laying about that I probably won't need (the original DGardner boards, not the ones Lil Knight had run). Stock Dynalo gain should be fine; I've never adjusted the gain on any of mine and they have been just right for all the phones I've thrown at them. Note, I didn't look at your schematic from work.
