Not sure what you mean by "old style" tires. What size of wheels are they? Should either be 27" wheels or preferably 700c wheels, which would give you your choice of pretty much any modern tire you want. 27" are readily available, just not as common any more. Something like a Panaracer Pasela in maybe a 27 x 1 1/8" would be a good choice in that case, and cheap (~$15 ea). I added it to the CAM processor on Eagle (20 dimension layer). At least I think it should have worked. I don't have a gerber viewer here at home (Mac), but have Gerbview at work. I suppose I could load it onto that PC I have in the basement. I may need to go into work today at some point anyhow.

Double would be good If Kevin doesn't take it, I will. Files are Eagle, ran the gerbers, would like to check them at work but should be good to go. Chris

Nice ride Nate! I have been lax this winter about working out (pretty much haven't). I went out a week or so ago to do an 18-22mi ride, and bonked at about 10 miles, to the point where I was wondering if I was going to make it home. Did a bit over 16, and did make it home. I knew there was no one at home or able to come rescue me, so I had to do it myself Strange that I rode 18 miles just fine in January on a rare nice day. I did another 16 mile ride last week and got tired, but not as bad as the first one. Just really out of shape I guess, and in two months. Jim: nothing at all wrong with clips and straps. I didn't switch to clipless until last year, but could go back. I'm using eggbeaters (and occasionally a pair of Time ATACs) and will stick with mountain shoes instead of road shoes cuz you can walk in them. My normal pedals w/clips/straps would not fit tennis shoes or whatever, and I have narrow feet. I've used some Avocet M30 touring shoes for years. The biggest thing is that the soles are stiff enough. If you like sandals, the Keens should be great.

Looks real nice Vicki. Brooks FTW! I like the color. I've ridden the same Brooks Professional for ~40 years. Heavy compared to Italian plastic saddles, but big deal (for me).

Backwards. FMs are lower ESR. Not sure if reliability is higher or not. FCs are available in more sizes however. Pana also has a newer series out called FR as well.

Plus boutique caps are only 85C rated, whereas good PSU caps such as the FM/FC etc. are usually 105C rated, and longer life. It is hard to find much in the way of specs for most boutique caps also.

Those are only rated for 300VDC (or RMS) MAX

Had ComEd out today anyway (didn't cancel the appointment I had made), and they took it! Yay! I was at work, but had removed the railing from the staircase, instructed both of my sons on how to remove the doors (both refrigerator and house), plugged it in to make sure it worked (a requirement from ComEd). Their movers apparently used a blanket and some kind of moving strap (good call Dan!). One of them commented on how heavy it was ("this is all metal, not like they build them today").

How are you with soldering? If it were me, I would probably resolder the connections to the big black cubes. Touch the iron to each connection and add a bit of solder. Try to make sure they are nice and shiny. See what that does...

I used to get 10 of everything when the price breaks made it attractive. SMD stuff in the 100s though.

Michael Percy has the 20R PRPs... I would personally build the whole thing with PRPs (or Roederstein MK3s)... that is what I did on my original dynahi boards. Not sure whether it really makes a difference or not.

Unless you happen to have 2SJ109s and 2SK389s around, yes. Linear does have the LSK170s, and had at least released samples over a year ago (IIRC) of the LSJ74s. Normally with the Toshiba parts (2SJ/2SK), BL grade was the norm. I'm not sure which Linear grade corresponds to that (I would guess the B designation). Note that the TO-71 packages is a -71 suffix on the PN, while the SOIC is a -SOIC-8 suffix.
