I need a replacement Goldring D42 stylus. hifi4less.com sells them for much cheaper than I can get here in the US, even including shipping. Unfortunately they only sell in the UK. I went to high school in San Bernardino and also went to UC Riverside, so I'm familiar with the area. Yes, Claremont is an oasis and pretty nice. The areas around it are not so nice. It's not as bad as USC though. Edit: Isn't it time to rename this thread "Ode to bacon"?

I've got 4 parrots and 3 cats. The cats are wisely afraid of the birds, especially Oscar. The birds have no fear of the cats.

That parrot is the youngest female Solomons Islands Eclectus that I've ever seen. Her beak is just starting to turn black. Normally it's hard for humans to tell the gender of a parrot just by looking at them. However, it's not hard with Eclectus as you can see below:
