What solder did you use? I have recently been using Kester 44 and Kester recommends a 600-700 F temp for it. I took the halfway point of 650 and it seems to be fine. I haven't tried to solder a heatsink yet.
Broke out the Xytronic soldering iron that I got myself for Christmas. 2010. I worked an hour or so on a Velleman kit to work off the rust. After I feel confident, I'll start on DIY again.
Can't you guys do remote meetings via a tool like Cisco's WebEx? It would save lots of time and money for the board members and company. After all, this is the 21st century and frugality is in.
