  1. Maybe it was due to something else altogether?
  2. Replacement roller brush and drive belt for our upright vacuum. Whoopee.
  3. "Wings over the Gulf" on the Military Channel.
  4. FIFY. Now everybody can see Ray's brilliance with the SR-71A. When all other power is out, you can continue to listen to music by replacing every day 9V batteries. It's RSA's response to global warming. Seriously, sorry to hear about your power issues Todd. Good luck and hang in there.
  5. Who's the counsel here, you or Nate?
  6. Or you can buy some Sarn "Clearus" cables. These are the first invisible cables on the market. You can have the great warm neutral Sarn sound and yet not have cable clutter.
  7. I hope that your doctor warned you of one of the major side effects of Vicodin. Start adding lots of fiber to your diet now, if you haven't already done so. Be ready for the need to take a bulk type laxative in the near future. A couple of years ago I broke 6 ribs in a motorcycle crash. Nobody warned me. Let's just say that I really wished someone would have.
  8. I'm guessing that they let him have his way so that they don't have to hear him laugh his evil laugh.
  9. Happy Birthday Deepak!
  10. Indeed you did! Oops, you forgot to strike out the "sound awesome" part.
  11. She does. They make great cat toys.
  12. You were in eastern Mass. It was ok to run them over.
  13. It's in LA. The date isn't set yet but I'm guessing sometime in the spring. The planning committee will let us know when the date has been chosen. I live in Santa Barbara, which is about 1.5 hours (or more, depending on traffic) up the coast from the meet area. My wife and I will stay at the meet hotel 2 or 3 nights. Other than those nights, you're welcome to stay with us before and/or after the meet. You just can't mind cats and parrots as we have 3 and 4 of them respectively.
  14. Don't forget that she or somebody else needs to say "indeed".
  15. Don't worry. I only make them to those who I want to accept them. I do have to check with the Boss, but I don't think that there is any chance of a problem there. She spent a summer in Spain and her Spanish is not bad. I'm sure that she'd love to meet you and would relish the chance to practice speaking Spanish.
  16. Ooh, I like it.
  17. Sounds like it's time for yet another custom title!
  18. Jacob was referring to Toledo, Ohio. I've only heard a few tales so I'll let him describe its wonders. Still, Madrid is better than Toledo (Spain). I've never been to Milwaukee so really can't comment on it. I definitely prefer a warmer climate. Come out to the next CanJam (or whatever they decide to call it) and work out a visit with my wife and I. Of course, I've also invited Contrastique and her boyfriend so it might get a bit crowded. Still, the more the merrier.
  19. Perfect. Now you're ready to start you own company. Congratulations!
  20. There is one requirement. You have to learn how to solder, no matter how crappy.
  21. Well then stop posting and get busy. It may take you all of 10 minutes.
  22. Sorry, I thought that the satire in my statement was so obvious that I didn't put this emoticon. I guess I should have. Sure. Even if you don't become an engineering student, you might become a politician where the talent will serve you well. BTW, you've have the Phillips APL a while now. When do we get to read about an eXemplar Denon 2900 vs. Phillips APL review? I'm waiting for it with bated breath.
  23. It's still better than the Toledo that Jacob was referring to. A lot better! I take it you live in Madrid from your post? Portland is great as long as you can handle not seeing the sun for months at a time in the fall and winter. I couldn't do it. I get SAGS and would probably shoot up the city after two months of it. Except OC, the Inland Empire and the LA area. Oh yeah, except for Santa Barbara too. We already have too damn many people. Besides, it really isn't all that nice here.
  24. I think so too. They are mostly used for balancing wheels after installing new tires. The Modwright definitely is the most interesting use I've ever seen made of them.
  25. Maybe they couldn't do it because they were "researchers" and not "professional engineers".
