  1. It says "Speck". Oops, that's the cover. Its Model No. is A1303. After looking it up, you are correct, it's a 3GS. Since I don't know the difference between a 3, 3G and 3GS, it doesn't matter much to me. It does matter to the Genius who will give me a replacement tomorrow, though.
  2. It says "AT&T 3G" on the title bar.
  3. Oops, you are right that it's not an iPhone 3, it's a 3G. Searched the web for this problem. It's well known. The usual fix is a replacement phone. I have an appointment tomorrow.
  4. That's pretty funny, Grahame. 1903 bikes were modern bikes. This site shows that bikes have changed very little since the Wrights' 1898 St. Clair model. Modern sand bikes are basically regular bikes changed to allow very large tires. There's no reason the Wrights couldn't have built one. I'm sure that they could have had big fat tires made. Akron was the world center of tire production in 1903. The Wrights went to Kitty Hawk enough times to recognize the need for a sand bike if it interested them to build one. The video is great. Maybe Brent should buy a sand bike.
  5. This morning I was watching "Wright Brothers: First in Flight", an interesting, historical TV show. I highly recommend it if you are at all interested in flight and/or history. After their first successful flight, they walked 4 miles to telegraph the news back to Dayton, OH. I wondered why they walked. It was 1903 so I can believe that they didn't have an automobile and there probably wasn't a suitable road for one on Kitty Hawk. But why didn't they have horses or a wagon? Then I remembered that they were bicycle builders. So my question of the day is "Why didn't the Wright brothers ride bicycles to the telegraph office?
  6. Happy Birthday, Ian. :prettyprincess: Have a great one. Until you have kids. Then you start aging at 2 years per birthday.
  7. How much do you think an Extreme is worth these days? I was going to suggest to Jacob that he ask you.
  8. I got it new from the Apple Store when the iPhone 3 I had failed after getting a little wet. That phone was basically free from ATT as it was such an old model. I assume that both are/were new or refurbished, which should be the same as new.
  9. My 7 month old iPhone 3 has a intermittent problem. Sometimes when I turn off ringing and leave it off for a while (over 1 day), when I turn ringing back on, the iPhone doesn't recognize that and I have no sound. When it first started, recycling power would fix it. Now, I need to hook it up to a charger to fix it. So far it's just annoying. Yesterday, I dropped by the local Apple Store to see if it could be fixed. I needed a reservation and they were booked for the rest of the day (I went in about 5 pm). This makes be wonder if that many Apple products were failing. I think I'll try an Android or another phone when I have to replace this one.
  10. They can be underkill if they are not expensive (i.e. they are cheap).
  11. Sorry for the pain and hassle, Nate. Better safe than sorry though. Sorry that you felt ill, Jacob. If you like naps, you'll love retirement!
  12. Happy Birthday, Tyll :prettyprincess: Hope you're out riding your ass off.
  13. I'll be there in spirit. Al, please ogle the gear and drink a beer for me.
  14. This. Hope you get a big win too, Bryan.
  15. So sorry for your loss, Mike and family. I'll toast Denver tonight. RIP Denver.
  16. Neat bike Ari. It looks to be perfect for use in the city.
  17. So that's what a hipster bike looks like.
  18. Better than if they said you had a good Tiny Tim voice. No problem singing like Ringo. Drumming like Ringo is another thing ...
  19. Happy Birthday, Todd. :prettyprincess: Have a great one. Thanks again for providing such a great club house.
  20. Nah. I stopped when I felt the blood flow in my Coronary arteries reduced by half.
  21. This is from Sunday night. I started to prepare the T-bone steak that I bought a couple of days before and noticed that it cost over $15. I buy my steaks from a local Mexican market and they have been running a special at $3.96/lb. I thought that maybe they had gone back to their normal price, but no, the price hadn't changed. Then I noticed that the steak was just under 4 lbs. Here it is before cooking: OK, it was a little larger than normal. Here it is after being grilled and removing that night's portion. It was (and still is) delicious. Tomorrow night's dinner will be the 4th meal from it.
  22. Maybe you could try cloning. Congrats.
  23. Nate, the HD800 is the most comfortable headphone, short of earbuds, that I've ever tried. That's one of its huge advantages for me. I can listen to them for hours with no discomfort. I do think that they are the best sounding dynamic (and maybe best sounding period) phones that I've heard, but would not swap them for a slightly better but less comfortable pair of phones. I realize you probably didn't want to hear this, but if you are looking for comfort in a high-end headphone, the HD800 is a must try.
  24. Yes. Wonderful P2P build, Frank. BTW, I live in Noleta now. Would you like to get together in the near future to hear the ECP DSHA-1 with HD800 and any phones you'd like? Either your place or mine would work for me.
  25. Happy Birthday! :prettyprincess:
