Last Tuesday: Had a nice dual sport ride in the mountains behind and to the west of Santa Barbara. Here are pics at the top of the trail: Looking south toward the ocean. Yes the coast runs east-west here. Gate is closed so we can't go any further. This is my friend John Chase and his bike. My "Rebel" is in the foreground. The road back down (looking north). The road back down continuing to the south. All in all it was a pretty nice ride. I'm still not a good dirt riding but I am improving.

Greg, is this one MS file or multiple files? If it's one, maybe you accidentally deleted it. Either way, have you checked the trash to see if it's there? If this fails, search your machine for the file, you may find it in an unexpected place. Edit: If both of these fail to find it, Nate's advice becomes really valuable.

I don't know what Nikon's policy is here, but I know that many states have laws that state only proof of purchase is necessary. California is one of them. Maybe Florida is too.

AFAIC, it's OK for people to post Newegg deals and for other people to buy from them. I just won't. In thinking more about how they've handled this, they are trying to cheat people of out money with the "not paying for shipping" issue. I don't know if it is a purposeful attempt to reduce their loss or just a poorly conceived procedure, but the result is the same. So buyer beware when dealing with Newegg.

It does not have a preamp out. However, who knows what might happen if you sweet talk Doug. Of course, you'd have to wait for him to complete his move.

I was being mostly facetious. They would probably get that one right. The point is that they have proven that they might not get it right and it's a pain if the ass to fix things when they don't. Not worth it for me when the deal can be probably be easily matched with another vendor.

If that's what they really ship. I like Graham's approach, myself.

Me too. They are my favorite headphones. If you decide to go this route, I suggest that you also consider and audition Doug's amps, the DSHA-1 and L-2. I'm loving how the DSHA-1 drives my HD800s and the L-2 does a nice job too. I'm sure that the GS-X would be nice too, though I've never listened to one. Edit: Not sure if any of these amps will effectively drive the Dynaudio's.

I just sent an email requesting that the shipping be refunded. I also let them know that I wouldn't be considering Newegg for future purchases. Dan, didn't they email you a UPS label to use to ship it back? They at least did that for me so I only have to deal with the original shipping from them to me.

Assuming you paid via CC, there's always the charge back route if Newegg isn't cooperative.

Nate, how many bays do you really need? I was looking at 2 bay units in case I could talk them into that as a "like kind" replacement. At this point, I'll probably get something like this, but not at NewEgg.

If you had the Nest, then you'd have the excuse to add central A/C. After all, upgrading is the HC way. Of course, it never gets hot or humid in NH.
