  9. Nate, it's not a mid-life crisis until you get the overwhelming urge to paint flames onto it.
  10. X3 Hang in there, Steve.
  11. It's viglink putting in the links. Somebody is getting paid whenever the link is clicked.
  12. A classic case of target fixation. The bike (motorcycle) was barely leaned over and the rider could have easily avoided the bicyclists. Instead he panicked and kept looking at the bicyclists. Unfortunately for him and them, you go where you look.
  13. Belated Happy Birthday, KG! :prettyprincess:
  14. Belated Happy Birthday, Ryan! :prettyprincess:
  15. Shelly, you might want to consider ear buds. At work in cubicles, I used PK2's for music. When playing, I couldn't hear outside noise and nobody else could hear my music. When I needed to converse, all I had to do was pause the music.
  16. RIP Richie, one of the great unknown 60's (and later) artists.
  17. Coconut M&M's. Halibut is more expensive that salmon down here.
  18. I'm surprised that she showed up at all. Maybe it was another chance to do some more hurt. (
  19. According to my sister, yes. I would have guessed only DD myself. While my niece complains about them being so large, she certainly knows how to use them. Yes, she's 23 now and not a child. The doctor says that he doesn't think she'll need surgery. However, he also thinks that the crash momentarily dislocated her patella, so we'll see.
  20. Update on my niece. Apparently her ankle break is with the fibula. She has a tibial plateau fracture. She may have a fractured patella. There is some damage to the meniscus. The good news is that the orthopedic doctor decided to leave her in a walking boot and use an "upgraded" device to immobilize her knee. So she has no cast and can remove what she has to clean her leg, etc. She'll start physical therapy relatively soon, but I can't remember the actual time. It's less that the 3 months she'd have to wait if she were in a full-leg cast. There's other good news. She destroyed the fork on her brand new Bianchi. Her boy friend could easily fix it but the Bianchi sales rep will replace her bike and the repaired bike will become a demo. I guess it doesn't hurt to be tall, athletic and reasonable good looking. Also, her DDD's might have played a part.

If this were Newegg, you might be getting a wall mount.
  22. Happy Birthday, Jeffy. :prettyprincess: You gave yourself a great gift!
  23. Congrats, Shelly.
  24. Antonio and Vicky, three months sounds long to me too. However, it's both for the tibia and broken ankle. I have no details as to the severity of either breaks.
  25. My niece got the results of her MRI. It's a good news, bad news result. The good news is that her patella is fine. The bad news is that her tibia is broken just below the knee. So it looks like she'll be in a full leg cast for 3 months. At least her spirits are high.
