  1. I will post some pictures when I get back. I wanted to get some extra current capability though for a new output stage, so all is well. Also, the next model up markets a toroid as an "upgrade". It's the K-07x which I can tell you is a completely different beast from the K-07. Once I drop in the new transformer, then I will plan where and how to integrate the output stage in, which should be fun. The new APL in the making here
  2. So, do you have to disassemble the transformer to tell? I didn't go that far, because I would have to permanently remove the shielding / belly-band. Instead, I designed a new transformer
  3. Can anyone post a picture of what you are referring to with the Bando? They are used in he Esoteric gear as well, but I suppose I might not have looked closely enough?
  4. Random train station food. Boarded the Shinkansen just now
  5. Shabu-Shabu begins
  6. Godzilla My 10th course of sushi, literally.
  7. Need a quick translation here. "It's like the eggs (roe), but the male part. I don't know how to translate it."
  8. It is (was) a Bando as well. Also, turned me on to JST connectors which I quite like.
  9. Been dealing with that with Esoteric. I hopefully will have something to show for my work soon
  10. Well, anything to depress NTCT would be appreciated.
  11. Yeah, I like my B&R giant bag as well.
  12. Fuse rating is simple. Total VA rating / line voltage * 133%. If that doesn't work, then make your PS not suck another way.
  13. Ok. Total off-topic time. So, zeroed the four-wire probes. They were 0.0012 ohms. Set to slow with 10 moving average samples. Using 100 range with a 100.000 .005% resistor. Last calibration 15 years (!) Ok, spec after 1 year (max on datasheet) is 100+40, which is ppm reading plus range. So, I think this is 100*0.01%+100*0.004% or +/- 0.014 ohms. So, my reading is 99.981. So, in spec? Maybe?
  14. Or, Where the entire pin is in the bottom of the board, it's slightly press fit due to a small flange visible in the first picture For the later example, it would have been nice to have a solder pad on the bottom, but kept the top as close to min annular ring so that we don't introduce a larger gap around the pin, which hurts thermal performance.
  15. These look mighty cute
  16. So, I don't think I would have ever said this, but this is probably overkill. What part are you using for the .47 resistors?
  17. Aubrey-Maturin Series
  18. You might also look at the NEC / TOKIN / (Kemet? lost track) EA2/EB2 series relays.
  19. I did, for a while. Direct deposit ftw. ... In a border state.
  20. I think recommendation threads are silly. That being said, you should have gotten a Pace!
  21. Yes, minimum wage earners who don't just take cash under the table... and TMoney.
  22. Yes, it has Kelvin connections. I will post my findings!
  23. That VC is quite nice. Reminds me a bit of Grand Seiko, which isn't a bad thing in my book.
  24. Seeing your picture Spritzer reminded me: I just bought a 100 ohm 0.005% .2ppm/C tempco resistor to see what my Keithley DMM reads. Has anyone tried to calibrate one of these, or verify its spec?
