Well, I basically have two of the same watch (to the uninitiated). In reality one is an automatic and one is a HEQ, one is black dialed and one is white, one is no-date with gorgeous symmetry and the other has a date function.
To most that would seem odd.
Well, the larger Grand Seiko limited JDM antimagnetic which has the 9S65, to go with the smaller HEQ version:

Yeah, good news is that they are cheaper
I was looking at Octopart last night and noticed that their descriptions of the parts hinted that they are different. I haven't dug into the datasets yet.
So, I got a copy for 21,000¥. If you are interested, then I would actually ask that you receive and keep my copy until next year, as I am leaving in a week for Asia (ironically). We would probably split the shipping, or something like that.
So, it's doable to get it for list, PM if interested.

They will do PayPal - and I don't see any huge warning signs, but doesn't hurt to get a second opinion.
6061 is fine. Watch out you might not get perfectly straight or measured cuts. I would just order a bit shorter than the case depth to account for this.
It seems some of the Impulse jazz titles are making their way to Esoteric's ultra-premium releases. I am glad to coordinate cheaper acquisition if anyone is interested.

I appreciate the help, but honestly I don't really have time to deal with too many requests. I've purchased the parts, they'll be here in a week, considering Thanksgiving. I had to pay CA sales tax, so my invoice cost was $500.42. If no one wants any, that's fine I'll use them. If anyone interested, see the thread here:
