I think a better question is How many owners can a headphone have before it needs repair

Seller has DECLINED the offer at this time. That was quick

not quite bought, but I submitted an offer of $2200 for lobster_king's SR-Omegas

I called when looking to buy the XA-5400ES. A woman answered. They don't actually stock the unit, but say it doesn't take long to get it. Typical internet dealer. I wouldn't have cared but I wanted to send it to the NYC meet. I bought from United Online Shopping instead, same as KG. You might pay $50-100 more.

I would assume it is a 6SL7 as a differential amplifier, 2nd 6SL7 drives the EL34 outputs -

If you could live anywhere in the US where would it be and why?
justin replied to Grand Enigma's topic in Off Topic
I think that's partly why it will get worse. Smaller economy in the state + growing millions of illegals = moar taxes for everyone -
I have a blue capacitor and a black capacitor it looks prettier that way

I wouldn't expect anyone who has grown up in CA to leave, but I don't know why anyone would consider living there unless its for a great job opportunity. The living expenses and taxes are ridiculous and it's only going to get worse -

Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Arizona, would be the places I would consider living -
I don't think you're a shill, but I think you know where I stand on these mega-reviews. It does not matter if you rank something a 10.000 and something else a 9.999. At any given time something is ranked a 10.000 on Head-Fi. This is what everyone will buy. The few percent who miss one of the 100 links to the mega-review thread or can't read English might pick the 9.999. Because everyone just wants to be told what to buy and if everyone else is doing it then it must be the right/safe/popular choice. Consider making a review thread where there are no numerical rankings, in fact no rankings at all. I think you'll find that nobody will read it, but it would be a step in the right direction.

see here: PSA Sports Card Grading Standards Most of the cards on ebay selling for anything will be graded PSA 9 or PSA 10.

I used to collect basketball cards when I was ~10-13. Then eBay came around, and for the first time we had real supply and demand for cards, and we found out they actually have very little value unless you have some cards that go for >4 figures. What happened next was in order for a card to have any value, you had to send it off to some grading company where they inspect it with a microscope and give it a grade. Because only a few % of the cards make the top grades, this helped restore the value of cards by lowering the supply. So in summary, your cards are probably worthless.

Which one? On the for sale forum? It's been 1 day! I don't get emails about the BHSE every day. In fact, I can only recall 1 email about it since I put the finished amp on my website, and it was also at the NY meet. I think Head-Fi is all out of $5k e-stat amp buyers + the economy..

he asked me how to wire the jacks at CanJam, which means he had never plugged a headphone into an amp design at that time. jamato's thread was a few weeks before that: Who knows what the pin out is for Stax and Sennheiser electrostatics? - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio

final scores? Current Score: 124 Best Possible Score: 124 out of 192

The GS-X also has a 3 way gain switch, which effectively triples the number of volume levels with a stepped attenuator

I think you're forgetting the AC voltages. you could do it but you'd need 8 tubes total if you want to use 5687 (parallel both halves of each tube) and 4 floating highly isolated filament supplies. hmm where have i heard this before. anyway, if there is a separate heater supply for the top tube, ignoring the AC voltages, i think it would be OK as in you're not going to hear about it if a tube breaks, it will just get replaced, unless it takes amp/PSU components with it and then can't be repaired...like that other amp

I already had a pallet arrive yesterday and they had to leave it in the street
 -
That's because when someone becomes part of Team Electrostats, their days on head-fi are numbered or they've already left. I believe that the biggest impact Ray's amp will have is showing electrostats to new people who just follow the popular trends, now that the issues with their weak bass have been resolved. It won't be long until someone says "My headphone doesn't fit in this big round thing with 5 holes in it!"

KG has some of that, and then he thought i stole it from him
