  1. I'll be watching it with headphones.
  2. The short answer is, "no". Track down one of the blow-up images of a pair of headphones to get you started -- everything comes into play at such close quarters -- even the decision as to what material the pads are made out of affect the sound. Some headphones have multiple screens (the headphone equivalent of speaker grills) to fine tune the sound, as well as multiple materials behind the driver. I can't fine one right now, but try to find one of those blow-up diagrams of a pair of headphones just to give you an inkling of the sort of thoughts that go into the design of a pair of headphones.
  3. Are you going to sing along? When I was young...I never needed anyone...and love was just for fun...

That's deceptive as hell -- what were the populations of the two countries at the time of the study? The Netherlands is a much smaller country than the US. Per Capita would be much more useful.
  5. Yeah, I had a package like that once. It went like this: (nothing)...(nothing)...(nothing)...Delivered!
  6. There's a lot of good stuff in there. Light explosives now....and....now. Sell mute. Duck. Cresc. or not.
  7. Or you could just pretend there's someone in the room who doesn't know the words...and no sense of melody... ...and a really low voice...
  8. Focal and Dali both have speakers at most major price points that are competitive. Aurum Cantus also interests me. I'd also give the Quad L or L2 series a listen.
  9. Huzzah, you beat me to it. Let us know how it goes.
  10. If you're worried about security, then I go back to grawk's point about the $30 dongle, or perhaps using encrypted in your internal wireless network, or perhaps you're not the target market for this computer (and by "you", I don't mean "Todd", I mean the generic "person not buying this laptop"). Firewalls 'n' stuff.
  11. Not really -- they put bluetooth and wireless into it; Ethernet is so last year.
  12. Doritos Sizzlin' Picante (purple packaging FTW) ...and then... Doritos Poppin' Jalapeno
  13. Well...hydrocity appears to trying to hit as many spots as possible, sounds like. You hit it enough times in enough different spots, you'll eventually find those spots. On a different note, if they make them flexible, people will be able to take them anywhere, and in anything.
  14. Hate to say this, but you're just lucky. So far.
  15. That was the impetus, yes. But I'd rather use $100 shells than $400 shells. Although I'd probably be better off looking for someone else's leftover shells from something. I wonder what that headphone woodier guy does with his leftover shells...maybe I could use one of my Beyer shells...
  16. Okay, so the short answer is, "yes", you do take pictures of food before pranks (and not before pranks...or rather, "before" "not pranks"). Quite a bit, it seems. You should submit some of those pictures back to the restaurants, some of them look quite good. (Not the pepper flakes picture, though. I doubt the restaurant would appreciate that.) It's quite common to call individual pizzas "pies". I think most of the chains do it internally.
  17. [pedant]audible[/pedant] No, I have the A950Ltd. Just curious -- why the A500, because it's the cheapest? I might do that with my PS-1's...
  18. Apparently, more people are more skeptical of the square-cut round pizza. I've seen it a bunch of times already, get over it.
