Actually, there are several fans here. Dude has range! Haven't heard much, though, myself. I should give them a listen, what with my recently burgeoning interest in The Pop Song. Me, listening to this great, lyrical, melodic, instrumental rock record https://kaleikia.bandcamp.com/album/oile-n-fada-2 They're from Sanxenxo, wherever that is.

If you can find a Creek OBH-11SE, that’d be excellent experimental solid state for very little outlay; otherwise I’d start with a Headamp Pico Power. MHO

That Cocteau Twins is superb. Me, now, don't mean to be a cliche, but...damnbient:

I'm getting at that age (of sleep deprivation/planned obsolescence) that you need to repeat things. And thanks for the link, will read that one too. Also, this:

Excellent. I don't know if you remember, but I went through a film noir phase a couple years ago, but somehow missed this one. It's not perfect, and I certainly wouldn't call it the best British film ever made, but I very much enjoyed it for what it was. My favourite aspect was the morally complex character development in several of the characters, and the very real emotional struggles of the main character. The "four countries" aspect reminded me of Park Chan-wook's Joint Security Area a bit. But I can already see how it is more representative of European relations. Now I need to go read the article.

Thanks. I presume it's that almost-electric-piano-through-some-sort-of-modulation-pedals sound? Yeah, one of my favourite patches on the Prophet 5 was a (self-) modified version of their Electric Piano patch. I really need to get my Prophet 5 fixed so that I can recreate it. I haven't been able to recreate it on the Prophet 6 or the Arturia virtual Prophet 5 instrument well enough to my liking. I love the song titles on that album. (I have many Recycle Or Die albums, including that one.) Also, unrelated, I thought this video might interest you (unless I got it from you, which I probably did):

Still Why We Sleep, just got to a part that made me think of Matt and that dreadful day. Basically, the author shows how driving while sleep deprived is as bad or worse than driving inebriated, because there isn’t as much of a stigma against driving while tired. Impaired judgment is still impaired judgement, no matter the cause. And as I’ve always said, when your judgment is impaired, your judgment as to whether or not your judgment is impaired is impaired. From what little I know of what happened, it sure sounds like sleep deprivation may have been a large factor.

You’d probably just have a particular clientele.

Started my daily walk in light rain. Rain became heavy. Raised umbrella. Saw lightning and heard thunderclap less than a second later. Realized I was a walking lightning rod. Turned around and went home.

If whoever pulled up the weeds left any root structure at all, you may not have to spend any money on artificial ones.

Carnival Row—excellent production values, some nicely morally complex characters (but I think I know how this is going to go), and some interesting takes on contemporary issues. Recommended!

Late Night Union on bandcamp. Hard rock. Only Access to the Sun is an album, but the rest of the songs are great, too. Previously was the sillily named Awooga, but they're even harder rock, and I dig them too.
