No, I’m saying the opposite, it’s the least weak link in the chain. You can get away with a bog standard HDMI cable (and transport!) and still get great picture quality.

I listened to a lot of crap in the 90s. (Barbie Girl is probably my biggest sin, although there are many others.) That said, I was pleased to see Vangelis there for 11 freakin’ weeks. My hero.

If you’re using HDMI or any other digital cable, you don’t even care about picture quality. My friend who used to be in the biz uses a PlayStation as a transport. Or an Xbox.

Yeah, I understand that, and I’ve cut way back on the drinking, so I cut way back on the buying as well. Instead of having 8 1lb. bags going, I only have 3 or 4 1/2 lb. bags going, and only buy two at a time. (I don’t ignore all y’all’s advice.) So two of those four are usually almost done. The older coffee is going to my sister for composting.

I think you exaggerate. It probably starts losing its flavour immediately, but you think you can taste the difference at ten minutes? I call bullshit.

Moving Pictures side two is one of my favourite sides of any rock record ever. The only reason I don’t cite the whole album as my favourite is because classic rock radio kinda wore out —to me—all the big songs (including “Tom Sawyer” and “Limelight”), but “Red Barchetta” and “YYZ” are superb still. 2112 is another which is considered by many to be their best. A friend of mine recently Tweeted that it was their best “...full stop”. I love a lot of their albums—Hemispheres may be my current favourite. Although All the World’s a Stage still holds a special place in my heart because it was my first. I still want to cover “What You’re Doing” because of the version on that live album. “YYZ” and “La Villa Strangiato” are both worth a listen if you haven’t heard them.
