  1. That was actually the reason this came up -- it was a recommended video after watching Dolphin Dance, but the amount of monster talent that she put together...just incredible...
  2. Congrats to the edumucatee!
  3. Sounds like they handed him the card for best actress. And I thought the La La Land people handled it pretty well.
  4. Got a glimpse of them in the audience -- she's really tiny! And yeah, she looks really young. I didn't realize scientologists had gone into white slavery... That Charlize Theron/Shirley Maclean thing was really sweet, but now I want to see that movie!
  5. ? EDIT: Oh, wait, that was before she gave birth. Here, this appears to be from tonight:
  6. https://autism.bandcamp.com/album/film-noir post-rock/post-metal \m/ Will probably put on all my covet (math rock) tracks, as they're playing tonight, and the show is sold out, so I'm not going.
  7. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  8. Not sure we should be helping you with a forgery.
  9. I live in a hispanic-heavy neighborhood, so I would've thought they would've gone with the Spanish.
  10. Apparently I do not live in Chicharone nor Chicharrón country.
  11. No, they sell stuff cheap.
  12. Unholy carp, 5 years? Yeah, that's a really long time for a defect to show up. Planned obsolescence, perhaps?
  13. Lollers. Also: K-Mart is in trouble? Just selling cheap stuff ain't good enough any more?
  14. Looks great!
  15. Oh shit, you found the whole concert? Nice. I might have to watch that myself. And you're welcome. (I mentioned it in the live music thread.) You're in for a treat. I definiitely think they'll be your thing. Sorry you hadn't heard of them before now, but glad that's sorted. They have lots more videos on YouTube -- I think the entire Family Dinner album/DVD (lots of guest vocalists, my introduction to their signature jazz/R&B style) is on there, as well as their We Like It Here DVD. They like to record everything live. So many of those are what ended up on albums (including much of Sylva).
  16. I lollered. "...catapulted out of frame..."
  17. Have you read Weaveworld, by Clive Barker? That's sort of the imagery that I had in mind, that one scene where two guys walk through each other...
  18. Nope, but in the booklet, he said he is no longer beholden to the Metropole Orkest -- the orchestra for whom this was originally written, and are on the YouTube videos -- so there is hope. Oh, and yeah, I love Snarky Puppy, too. They really do have their own sound, and it's one I like, even though it's not "weird" or "dark" like most of the music I listen to. And I wanted to add: the orchestra gave the whole thing a very "big band" flavour to their music, like Miles Davis working with the Gil Evans Orchestra (and I'm talking mostly about the sound, not the music...the music was still quintessentially Snarky Puppy).
  19. I'm laughing way too hard at this.
  20. Yeezh. I've only replaced my windshield a couple times, but I've never used factory glass. I just use one of those companies that comes out to you. And since what you saw happen was factory glass, I would say it's likely not superior. One of the possible explanations is there was a flaw in either the glass or the installation. Alright, two.
  21. I lowered the speed of the video to 0.25 and tried to count boops that actually connected, but there were too many I wasn't sure about, but I think the final tally is something like: Axle: 1 PM: 37+ Also, I think Axle liked having his nose scritched.
