I <3 Natalie Imbruglia. Imbruglia might be the greatest last name in the history of last names. And I think I heard one of these songs the other day! I distinctly remember thinking, "wow, some female singer didn't change the lyrics, good for her -- I don't know if I could do the same" (want to cover Tori Amos some day). I'll give it a listen, see if I can remember which song it was. Me: Knucks' set from earlier this evening

Do I get a different background every day? I liked yesterday's better. ^ I started to post this yesterday -- I think I figured it out -- it's blue during the day, orange-ish at dusk and dawn? And off-black at night. I'm only ever going to look at this site at night from now on, night is my favourite. Well, alright, I'll probably forget and look at it during the day, but I'll spend the most time at night. EDIT: NOW IT'S PURPLE!!1! -- WIIIIIINNNNNNNnuh! PS I am really liking this. Thanks not only for doing this, Todd, but for vetting it and everything. I ditto the question -- how are finances? -
27L?!?!? Okay, that's one bottle I don't think I could finish.

You have twice as much bacon in the same amount of time, how can you not see how that helps?
-
Who cares? You want flat bacon, you use two skillets.

I think he meant the ones other than the ones we memorized. I only see the core ones in the smiley thingy. -

Windows 10 - Who's upgrading tomorrow?
Dusty Chalk replied to postjack's topic in GoRedwings19's Computer Help Hotline
They really do. Even my "top of the line" T440 isn't even made any more, and I got that just a year ago or so! Can you imagine how profitable CSC would become if they actually gave some of us -- say, the top 10% most productive of us -- the right tools for the job? The time I've spent struggling with both the computer itself and the bureaucracy surrounding it...and the energy I've lost...and the frustration I've gained...and the demoralization... -

Well, it started with my CSC computer, those things were so bloated down, that yes,it helped a bit. But then I started doing it at home, too, just to be consistent, I guess. And yes, the execution of that stuff is transferred to the GPU. -
Nice! I think Jacob will deem that crust 'adequate'.

Yeah, my screens look like Windows 98. -
I am curious about this myself. I always thought it was a hysteresis thing. Hysteresis, is a tendency for magnetic media to retain a recording. If you write over it once, and you know the nature of the media, you can figure out if there was a 1 or a zero underneath it based on small deviations from the value it should have been if there was never any data there to begin with. This gets shrunk dramatically the second time, and now instead of two possible values around a known constant, you have two possible values around two possible values. It just gets fuzzier after that. Those values by the way, are pretty darn small to begin with -- one requires extremely sensitive equipment to perform data forensics. And yes, they don't write constant values on any drives any more, they write patterns when they're reformatting, because it makes for a better hard disk anyway. "Like new."

Yeah, I wouldn't. Hire a professional. If you must do it yourself, smoke 'em out first. Also, pick a time when they're docile, like in the middle of winter. Sorry to hear, Chris.

You should have called it an experimental side project...Knucklimator, Illumidragger, I don't know. Just kidding. Thanks for posting it.

Oh, that's right, isn't that the one with the proprietary SSD? Yeah, never mind.
