  1. You don't think it'll draw the cockroaches away from the house? But being dragged onto your driveway last time indicates there's something that "outweighs" the roaches, so...never mind.
  2. What everyone else said -- looks delicious.
  3. Deja Vu, as in Deja Vu audio, the retailer? Curious which horns they had playing. This is their site. They've always had some spectacular speakers. I've dealt with them before, they're good guys. Vu, in particular. Sorry I missed you JP (and Chris and anyone else), my sleep schedule is a complete wreck. Woke up at midnight, couldn't get back to sleep, was awake at 8, but was too much of a zombie to feel safe to drive.
  4. Looks awesome. But... The entire season one, in one weekend? You ought to at least stand while you're watching it or something, otherwise you're going to be dead by the time you get to my age. I know the actor's voice for some reason, I need to figure out who he's reminding me of...of whom he's reminding me...nope, sounds worse...
  5. Janis Joplin and...her stunt double?
  6. I was just coming in here to post that. He helped my sisters a lot during my mother's declining final months and years. There's also this beautiful article which he wrote himself: http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/02/19/opinion/oliver-sacks-on-learning-he-has-terminal-cancer.html?_r=0&referrer
  7. That's probably a good milestone.
  8. I'll put it in the queue! No, seriously, I've had an arrangement for Free Bird for years in my head (done in the style of Pink Floyd -- specifically, "Time"), so there's no reason I shouldn't start working on it. My teacher gave me the riff from Crazy Train to practice.
  9. I bet YouTube sounds awesome on your system. Me: Judd Madden, Waterfall II -- I'm not sure why I was notified that he had a new album out, I don't appear to be following him and certainly don't remember the name, but ... not sorry, really digging this.
  10. Can one do this with just anything? I want to anodize some guitar pickup covers and mounting rings. Deep Blurple (of course) -- is there any place to be recommended or avoided?
  11. Had my second guitar lesson, ever. (Yes, I'm going to be mentioning every one until it's normal.) Restrung one of my guitars that sounded muted and muffled -- it just needed new strings is all.
  12. "Deep." "Very deep."
  13. Half of ... no, 90% of what they're selling is the name, on that one.
  14. I'm home for a change, so...happy day!
  15. There's no way I can make Sunday morning, but I'll try and be there later on Sunday. But even that's a maybe. I already know what I want in terms of speakers (Gallo Stradas) ... and can afford (I.E. not MBLs), so with the knowledge that I will probably miss you all, I'll probably pass.
  16. Classic Venetian Snares spastic breakbeats kind of thing going on, interspersed with what sounds like real, live, acoustic violins and such. Really takes his music to another level. I may have to purchase this, but it's not on his bandcamp. EDIT: oh, wait, there it is, on the Planet Mu site.
  17. Graham, that looks delicious. I can skip on the chocolate.
  18. Random Chthonic on Tidal because which was triggered by which was triggered by and I am now lusting over that purple 5-string bass, because that's about as close as I'm going to get to her.
  19. Happy birthday, Jack! (party favour noise)
  20. Wait, are you saying black doesn't go with something?
  21. Yeah, that sounds like the ancient cookies problem.
  22. Yeah, the musicians are some serious fucking musicians (continues on second page, that's why I didn't just post a link to the one video): http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/general-music-discussion/299600-new-babymetal-song-awadama-fever.html#post4429829
  23. Maybe it's because they know at some point in the future it will be the inevitable "take your baby to work" day. (Can't find a sitter/day care closed/etc.)
