Lustmord, The Word as Power -- damn. Only gotten as far as "Babel", but...damn. This is eye-wateringly beautiful.
(on Spotify...EDIT: no, just switched to Bandcamp to see if it sounds any different...I think it does, ackshully...a smidge better on Bandcamp.)
The Ocean, Fluxion, on Spotify -- a, because it just came out, and b, because I need some cathartic music, will probably resume with Cryo Chamber releases immediately after.
Woke up to a bunch of spurious international charges on my credit card via Google. I'm on the phone now with Capital One and Google.
Aside: the Capital One representative is on hold with me, listening to the Google wait music. Which isn't as bad as Capital One's wait music, but still...some payback.
EDIT: Now I feel bad -- the Capital One rep was really nice, the person at Google wallet spent way too much time talking, and not enough time finding anything -- I'm not even sure I was talking to the right person. They couldn't find any transactions! How is that possible? I just got this card, and I'm already closing it.
He's gone full immersive! Are you going to listen to the Laurie Anderson song as well? (Kidding.)
Me: Just started and finished Practical Demonkeeping that my sister lent me before I have to return it soon. I think she accidentally got a first edition of his first novel! (The back cover says he's working on his second novel and that the movie rights have been optioned for Disney. Damn, that's something I'd like to see.)
EDIT: ...and she just let me keep it. W00t!
I don't blame them at all for blocking most of the sites that they do, but music-streaming actually helps me block out my neighbors in cubie-land, so I consider it a plus.
I wonder if they blocked the ports at work, because desktop client works fine when I got home. Been listening all day today, with no breaks, not even between songs when the next one is loading. Will find out on Monday.
Today, shit-all works from work, and I didn't bring any downloads...oh, wait, I wonder if I can stream from my phone...I can up my data cap with points, so I'll do that, just in case...
EDIT: nvrmnd, no signal (or rather, not enough signal...or more accurately, too much trouble signal)
