Yeah -- let me know what else you watch, maybe I'm just not aware of it. Will probably start catching up on Justified and Blacklist...oh, and Librarians (which is just silly -- you know how silly it is when Bruce Campbell guest stars as the embodiment of the true spirit of Christmas. Thanks for that -- the way Netflix arranges them (by name -- Ghost Tears; Ghost Whispers; etc.) is very annoying, so not surprised I missed one. I have enjoyed the series, and am a huge fan of the two movies and the Stand Alone Complex series -- 2 seasons and a movie? I may not have seen the movie. Is that Solid State Society? I heard it was just pieces of the episodes glued together to run as a movie, or was that the Laughing Man movie? I think I just answered my own question. Well, I guess I know what I'm renting next. Oh, also: Steins;Gate -- absolutely fantastic. It starts off really light, but gets crazy dark in one episode about half way through. Just heart-wrenching.

My regulars: on CWTV.com -- Arrow and Flash and probably iZombie when it starts; on hulu: Marvel's Agent Carter (she climbs an electrified fence in the first episode without shutting off the power!) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Forever, Castle, and Gotham (Moreena Baccarin is crazy cute); on Amazon Prime: Archer. Just finished Dirk Gently. Did anyone else not know that this was made into a TV show? No wonder it only lasted for one season. Darren Boyd! Just started Black Mirror -- fantastic. Also watched the three Ghost in the Shell: Arise OAVs during my absence. Superb! Kinda reboot kinda prequelish, and they made her petite, which I think more suits her character. (I.E. not anime-huge boobs -- they do have one minor character that's more typically anime looking, but not Kusanagi)

Sparrow Hill Road by Seanan McGuire -- superb so far. It's a collection of stories with a single main character -- a ghost. And an over-arching story. (You can tell she's a big fan of television serials like Whedon and Doctor Who.)

Wind's been gusting up to 50mph -- didn't realize the conditions when I went out, abruptly got off at the next exit (I was in the express lanes, so Springfield), ate, then went home.

Oh, I suck more than you know -- I saw them several times -- the first time on the 'How to Measure a Planet?' tour, was right in front of the bassist, and not that far off from Anneke. As well as seeing them again later, but to me, that was the lineup, and I'm very fond of my memories of that night. Didn't realize when I posted it that the Peter Gabriel show was an older show from 1987, so he plays lots from his third, fourth, and fifth albums, IMHO, the zenith of his career.

I've been getting some free concerts (streaming, not download) from Qello, and I know there's at least one other Styx fan (Mikey?) so thought I'd share -- doesn't even require signing up (they're trying to promote the snot out of it, so they're actually releasing some entirely for free. Styx Peter Gabriel If you follow them on Facebook, there are others -- Michael McDonald doing Motown, Waylon Jennings being Waylon Jennings, etc. Highly recommended. Feel free to share other services. What you got? There was a place in Amsterdam that used to stream every show they ever had come through their doors, saw The Gathering perform the entirety of Black Light District that way before actually seeing them play it for myself. No, don't remember the name of the venue or the website, alas. Wouldn't mind seeing that again, goddamn, I love The Gathering.

Someone on another forum was also struggling with an iPod Classic replacement. They installed a SSD, and got increased battery life out of it as a by-product. I'm hard on the controls (so worry about how much life the iClassic has other than the drive), otherwise I'd do similarly. There's a reddit thread that was mentioned.

Interesting, thanks for the additional input.

Apparently, one does not need an entirely humidity-controlled room for acoustics: link

I'm acerbic, not sadistic. Me: Gov't Mule, Dark Side of the Mule (Gov't Mule playing Pink Floyd -- it's extremely faithful).

Oh, okay, yeah, you're right, I did misunderstand, you're saying that's what you imagined she said to herself. Got it, now.

I know, right? It's like a big red flag saying, "don't eat me".

It had this weird toxic chemical smell, and it didn't go away when cooking or ...uh...ingesting

Sounds like you switched to Windows -- you didn't accidentally switch to Windows, did you?

Yeah, I think I just bruised my toe, but I definitely gave myself food poisoning yesterday, because I was up all night with an upset stomach and had to stay home today. So the moral of the story is, ramen can go bad!

Def check out Indexing -- I just lent it to Julie (my ex), otherwise I'd loan it to you, but she's pretty fast, so let me see where she is with it -- and The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell (a short novella).

That still bothering you, Nate? Lollers, I got over it. If anything, it made the mopiness of Deadline make that much more sense. Oh, and spoiler alert: . Didn't realize Symbiont was out, I thought I preordered it...(wanders off to find out cheapest way to read it)

Oh, and I think I broke my freakin' toe. It's all black & blue after stubbing it -- that means it's broken, right? It doesn't hurt that much.
