  1. Me too. Can't trust fucking anyone any more. A week ago Sunday an automatic backup that I forgot I installed started up right in the middle of something. My performance dropped by 50%, and my first thought was that I'd been hacked. Also, capitalone.com home page has a fault in the embedded css pages, where they try to run scripts on 127.0.0.1 and the gateway.
  2. I disagree, Jacob. Basically, SSL is broken. That's pretty major. Your fanboyism can only go so far. You can't try to brainwash a security flaw away. I don't know how far back the fault goes, but found this: ...sounds like the fault itself doesn't go back that far, Al.
  3. I think more hacks go through wireless than through broadband/3g/4g/cdma/gsm/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. Also, were you around anyone? Someone feel free to correct me.
  4. Yup, I go all the way back to SCTV, too. The world just got a little less comedic. I has a sad. RIP, you should be proud of the legacy you left behind.
  5. I wouldn't. Basically, encryption is broken. Sure, that's not the same thing as VPN, but they can still break into your computer, piggyback, and they don't have to worry about a thing.
  6. I concur as well, loved the KEXP bit, going to check out the album...after NEW NOTWIST! It's about damn time.
  7. That's not an issue specific to Macintoshes. Although (speaking out of my ass, so feel free to tell me to shut it) -- can't you thunderbolt -> HDMI -> TV?
  8. EDIT: Quite excellent -- better than Texas de Brazilia, and half the price. Sent from mah phone-blet via Tapatalk

It is? I actually have the following in my notes: "MF Drive vs. Boost"
  10. ^Marijuana center actual Girl Scout ^

I heard a really cool device tonight -- Kemper Profiling Amplifier -- basically, it reproduces any amp. At US$2177, it's cheaper than the 20 or so pedals I'm probably going to end up getting, trying to figure out which overdrive I want. Also heard a Gibson Advanced Jumbo, which was pretty.
  12. The Focals are okay, not my cup of tea, but they're almost on-ear the way they fit on my head. AKG make some very nice closed headphones -- the K550 is smooth and comfy, and the K271 Mk II is a studio standard. I'm actually selling my K550's (too many headphones is all), if interested. Smeggy is MIA, unfortunately. Nothing isolates like the DT770's...except maybe the Leatherheads, which are out of your price range.
  13. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)

HDTracks 10% off all new releases with code HDFEB18.
  15. Hmmm...easy chair...(contemplates)...I do have USB keyboards...
  16. My point is, is the upscaler in the non-Darbee really that bad? I, too, have a lot of DVD's, that's exactly why I asked.
  17. All of these chairs are $500 chairs -- does anyone have any cheapskate recommendations? I'd be pretty heart-broken if my cat shredded a $500 chair, but I'd be less concerned over something like a CostCo chair or an Ikea chair (looking at the Markus). I have been and am going to continue to be using my home chair a lot more these days.
  18. Do you think it's worth the additional US$100? The BDP-105-non-Darbee already has 4K upscaling...

Then go to the one in 7 Corners and learn to work the systems. Most musicians crave attention, so he's probably just giving you what he thinks you want.

Or you could just go the additional 2-3 miles to the one in Fairfax.
