Yeah, don't hold your breath. I mean, not unless you can hold it for two weeks. The dock has been in stock more than not ever since a couple months after all our promotions expired.

Sounds delicious, Colin.

Yeah. But I noticed an oddity today -- I plugged in a HRT MusicStreamer II, and it didn't work, even though it saw a USB device connected. Rebooted the phone and it worked (I knew it worked because it had worked before). So it may not just be a matter of plugging it in. I've seen multiple reports that USB Audio Recorder Pro will work in cases that stock software and UI will not.

That's like the unofficial Head-Case Enablers Unanimous shirt.

Well, I need another solution for Note II -> USB OTG cable -> USB DAC -> etc. (amp, headphones, whathaveyou). If I run towards the ends of my battery life, I need access to that orifice to charge, so I either need a Y cable a la this (except Note II, though I'm not sure that isn't going to be exactly the same thing) or the dock (which is 10x more expensive, but I was planning on getting anyway for the HDMI functionality -- but technically I could just get another Y cable that did HDMI for that, and I'd still be up US$80. But I still wouldn't have multiple USB functionality, so I guess what I'm asking is -- talk me into or out of getting the dock, please. And...go.

Top 100 best written shows, voted by Writers Guild of America
Dusty Chalk replied to deepak's topic in TV
By 'sci-fi', they probably mean 'sci-fi/fantasy'. And yes, it's much better. X-Files got kind of repetitive. Mulder: "Scully, you're not going to believe this explanation..." Scully: "I am skeptical." (turns away) (something happens that corroborates the supernatural explanation, that only Mulder gets to see) Mulder: "Did you see that?" Scully, turning back around: "No, I missed it." -- pretty much half the episodes (with Mulder and Scully), and I'm not even going to address the seasons with less Mulder. That was just a horrible way for a show to die off. -
Yes, it's outstanding. Actually got me to stop watching Hit & Miss, even though I only have two more episodes to go. Will probably finish OitNB first.

I didn't post because I couldn't figure out how to say this, so...this! Also the writing on the entirely made up topics was pretty phenomenal too (being revived after dying, being a monster and yet not, etc.). Even the humor was worked in in such a way that it was "real" -- I.E. they weren't gags, like Monty Python or Get Smart, but rather they were...er...it was humor that the characters within the show generated, and whether or not you found it funny is the only thing that made it comedy. And I'll say -- I was late to the show, didn't discover it until after it was over, at which point I was over 40, and I still found the show to have excellent writing. -

I'll admit, I'm kind of surprised Mary Tyler Moore ranked as highly as it did on both lists. -
Happy belated! (waits for the invention of time travel in order to go back in time and make party favour noise)

I will admit, I've given up on doing this, so haven't done it in years. -

Buying Tickets To Popular Bands Is A Bag Of Crap!
Dusty Chalk replied to roadtonowhere08's topic in Music
Really? I meant to mention -- I did find out that some of the shows sold out because they went on sale early, so I started 10 minutes early in some cases. (Though back then no-one knew about reverse IP defeats, so I probably ended up getting myself blocked, at least temporarily in some cases.) If you're on a large internet service, usually all you have to do is reboot to get a new IP. Or shut down for a bit, then boot back up (give them time to shuffle IP's). -

Disappointed not to see Sports Night nor Veronica Mars on either of those lists, happy to see some others (Deadwood, Buffy, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks -- I really need to finish watching that). That reminds me -- every several years, I check to see if Wonder Years or My So-Called Life ever made it to DVD...(does the 'wanders off' thing)...I guess it's been a few years, because they both have. Of course, now I don't buy DVD's any more, I just stream or rent everything. -
Looks yummy.

First of all, you just generalized from a problem with the HD800 to all headphones, and that's a bit of a reach. The VTG is rather consistent from one amp to another, as is the MDR-V6/-7506. They scale, but not much. But it's not a fault, it's a design decision. Nominal impedance is actually frequency dependent and dependent not just on frequency but what all frequencies are playing at the time. Amps like the BHSE and the Blockhead actually defeat that by being rock solid and in control across all frequencies and frequency combinations.

Buying Tickets To Popular Bands Is A Bag Of Crap!

That sucks, dude. Am familiar with it, I've given up on seeing larger bands since ...well (shudders) ... I really am getting old, since I think Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason tour was the last one I actually stood in line for, including online (I've tried online, but I've always failed -- now with automated everything, it's impossible to get past the scalpers). I've seen a couple big ones since then (Depeche Mode, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Bowie), but even most of those were in the 90's. Haven't seen a large concert in years. I'll still see: Laurie Anderson, Peter Gabriel, and Blue Man Group every chance I get. BTW, they're wrong to block you -- most of the scalpers have reverse IP lookup defeats. -
I'm waiting until September when they'll actually air over here, I'm in no rush, got plenty of other shows to watch in the meantime.

So Spotify said I might like Dirge, so now I'm listening to Dirge, and indeed, I like it. A little faster, vocals, but still good.

Well wishes, Lloyd. Good luck, CJ.
