  1. Doctor Who ultraslowed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An-_WttF490
  2. I should probably listen to that before Saturday, but instead I'm listening to John Wesley, Shiver, which is actually quite foot-tappingly good. I'd want him to accompany me. Were I good enough to, you know, warrant accompanying by him.
  3. These conversations are win.
  4. Yeah, I mean who has a desk with only two drawers? Receptionists, that's who. What receptionist has a US$8M speaker in front of them? Also, can you say, 'first reflection nightmare'?
  5. Year of No Light, Nord -- heavyness
  6. But you gotta admit, it does look porny. In a gilt-overload extravagance kind of way. I'd rather have the one million dollar system from ...oh, I forget whom...EDIT: Oh yeah, the Kharma Grand Enigma.
  7. A ) Awesome. B ) Eep! That first word actually does translate to 'pedobear'. But the rest of it sounds innocent enough...'children's sport'n'game complex'. OR DOES IT...?!?!?
  8. Word. Alice, The End of the Beginning
  9. Oh my, that red mallee is 'verah nahce'...
  10. That should be "Temporarily pointless sign", as the temporarily modifies 'pointless', not the sign. On an unrelated note, this photo was posted in my stream, and was not in any way intended humorously or ironically. That said, that is exactly what I'm doing:
  11. So is that a black-&-white ebony (I don't see anything else on the chart that's closer)? Whatever it is, it's still gorgeous.
  12. So something with one of those enormous chimney electrocution-inducing capacitors, with gobs of reserve?
  13. Gorgeous! Is that what is known as zebrawood? Alas. At least they got the noises part right. Party favor (predicate adjective/noun, not noun/verb), not so much.
  14. Moar Turisas -- this stuff really makes me smile. Right up there with The Crown (albeit completely different).
  15. Turisas, Stand Up and Fight -- Viking metal with clean vocals -- stately, majestic, power metal. Melikey. Cover of "Broadsword" (originally by Jethro Tull) in the style a plus.
  16. Happy Birthday! (herein lies the noise of the party favour, not limited to 20Hz to 20kHz, but it probably is...)
  17. Happy Birthday! (aðila hag hávaða) (feel free to tell me I didn't get that right)
  18. Worm is Green, Glow -- recommended by Spotify because I listened to All India Radio, I like it. You know their recommendation engine is good when they recommend you things you already like, but they need to figure out a way not to re-recommend things they've already recommended.
  19. Hand iPhone to doctor, done. Me, yesterday: went and visited my mother. She looked at me, but could hardly change facial expression, much less communicate. I posited a theory to my sister (primary caretaker) that it was allergies, and apparently she's been off allergy medicine and was immediately put back on. Yay, me. We'll still have to wait and see if this has any effect. I did get her to smile by showing her a video of Bobby, so she's still in there.
  20. Re: cat pic -- wow, that's trust. Willem Defoe, Willem Defoe, and Willem Defoe, in 3 different short films.
  21. Tangram, Mise en Pièces...except for the track, "Zombie", which for some reason, won't play (Spotify). Groovy French ...uh...post-new-wave?
  22. Luther s03e01 Not to be confused with Luthier s01e03 The adventures of a stringed instrument maker ...
  23. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------^ Product placement.
  24. Indukti, Idmen -- prog metal, kinda Tool-ish right now ("Nemesis Voices"), but goes back and forth between full-on screamo and instrumental -- definitely my kind of thing...when I'm angry.
