i found first "official" notes about RKV mark 3
Roger -- are you a member of the trade? If so, you need to declare yourself as such. A member of the trade does not have the same stigma as it does elsewhere, so please do. You are currently suspended, but when you are able to post again, please respond openly and honestly.

A day in San Diego
I wouldn't go into Mexico if you only have one day. But if you have a car rental and a couple hours to burn, Lou's Records in Encinitas is worth the trip. And then a little further, and you can visit Legoland in Carlsbad, but if you only have one day, I think you're better off spending it at the zoo. The "...like all things in San Diego, its just nice to be outside..." comment is spot on. San Diego is my second favourite place on earth that I've ever been (Hawaii being the first). Perhaps browse local record stores Sunday a.m.? I also second the Old Town suggestion. When I went there on vacation, we had dinner every night in the same place. Don't remember the place, though. It was 10 years ago anyway, so probably best to just find a 4.0+ place and eat there.

I actually like AudioValve, and miss my Mk II, so any serious criticism of the layout would be appreciated. English isn't their strong suit. Not that I'm in the market. Oooh, a phono section. What's a headphone protector? Damnit, now I want one.

RIP someone or another
Back when I was on the classic rock forums frequently, someone complained about all their heroes dying recently. I said, "that's your lot when you're a fan of classic rock", and then made some apology for being morose or blackly comic or I forget how I phrased it. I got a lot of, "too late, I laughed" comments. So to synopsize -- I get you. I think a lot of people there would get you too. I think a lot of people here would get you too.

Kentucky Fried Movie, yes. That said, I'll still sign up, there is no stigma in the association, only lulz, so thanks for the link.

For some reason, I keep thinking of that skit in that skit movie (Boob Tube?) where the movie was presented in Feel-a-Round and Odor-ama.

What are you listening to Part the Third
Big Big Train, English Electric: Full Power -- basically, both the English Electrics plus another 4 (18+ minutes) of bonus tracks from this very British old school contemporary prog band concentrating on strong melody, harmony, and chord progressions. Not very hard at all, but not so AOR as, say, contemporary Marillion.

What are you listening to Part the Third
No, not watching, just listening -- it's just a dude in a hat, but I kind of like the fact that "just a dude in a hat" makes trippy spaced out electronica

Post what you're watching
Ruby Gloom -- children/goth show -- expires 10/1 off of Netflix streaming. For some reason, I can't watch Luther no more. Not even s03e02, the one I just watched. Should have watched them all that night while I could.

Yeah well, by all accounts, this is probably one of the times that being a sheeple is excusable. Oh, Je-eff, I believe this Zombie shooting spree has your name written all over it. I'll try and make it myself, as long as we do one of the afternoon runs, just so's I can document your moment alone against the horde moment.
