  1. Yes, that could easily be the case. Cats -- unlike dogs -- do not like to travel (e.g. in cars) and/or being relocated. When I moved to the new apartment, Bobby (still a catpup) spent the entire night in the litter box, and the senior citizen never fully acclimated. I was told this when I mentioned a "playdate" on Facebook, by one of my cat rescue org friends. Basically, a play date is a bad idea, and moving is fairly traumatic to a cat. So yeah, keep her isolated for at least another week, but even once you let her out, there will be an acclimatization period. Best to keep an especially watchful eye on her for the next couple days (and perhaps spend extra time with her), and in the first week or so when you let her out. Once she considers this her home, all will be well.
  2. And you usually have to change https to http. I'm posting this for two reasons -- the third thought bubble, and the name of the image -- the name of the image made me think there was a new interactive adult video game named "Wine Hero" -- at which I'd probably lose, but would still want to play. I have no idea how to play it, but presume it involves drinking wine. Also, from the makers of Wine Hero -- Beer Hero (I think we can presuppose that emelius would be the top ranking winner of that one), Whisk(e)y Hero, Bourbon Hero, Cocktail Hero, Tequila Hero, the Wine Hero mobile app...
  3. Condolences, Mike. RIP, Denver.
  4. Lollers. And then turn your hat on your head jauntily because your cap is bonking her right in that awkward place between the eyes.
  5. Dew et. Take her to the other vet. The other suggestion is try to get a fecal sample to bring with you to test for parasites. They'll have to send it out for analysis. How about pooping, is she constipated?
  6. We had a whole-house water filter back when I lived with my mom. I changed it every once in a while for her. Two tips -- they installed it at an angle so every time I took it off, we had to have a bucket under it. Don't do that, have them install it straight up and down. You'll still need a bucket, though. The other thing she did was smart -- she installed a transparent one so you could see whether it was time to replace it or not yet. IIRC, it wasn't particularly expensive nor expensive for the initial install, even by a professional.
  7. Spotify has just overstepped its bounds, lollers. No, I grew up.
  8. Oh snap. QFT
  9. Yes on the long thin hangers. MG Head Now I want a cookie.
  10. I think it took me longer to figure out what that was a picture of than it took to take it.
  11. Matt Elliott, The Broken Man -- wow, this is a long way from his full-on electronica of Third Eye Foundation, or even his first album as Matt Elliott -- acoustic instruments such as Spanish guitar and piano predominate -- I think I might love this album even more than as much as The Mess We Made (they're so different, they're incomparable). And "If Anyone Tells Me 'It's Better to Have Loved and Lost Than to Never Have Loved at All' I Will Stab Them in the Face" may be my favourite track title of all time. EDIT: Just found out it's available on vinyl, will have to get that. This album really benefits from being played loudly -- there's a second layer of music recorded very softly that changes practically every track from what's heard at the topmost level and what's heard when one can hear all the layers. Also, the new AlunaGeorge album (synthpop a la Oh Land, Kylie, etc...perhaps with a bit more indie/alternative slant)
  12. Also: dogs replace guitars (and basses) (just what it sounds like) Also, deleted scene from Jurassic Park:
  13. 'Ghost'? I'm thinking moar like radioactive power-ranger angel of death...
  14. Bobby sniffing the camera, now with IR technology!
  15. Very cool -- lollers on "full Ringo".
  16. It just came to me -- Red Guitars! (That's who Short Straw are reminding me of.)
  17. Aw.
  18. I hear some of The Feelies in there, too. EDIT: Also: wow, that's upbeat (compared to what I usually listen to). That's some happy hippy jive. EDIT #2: Or maybe it was the Meat Puppets that it was reminding me of. I don't know. Some 80's guitar band.
  19. Yeah, I know. I was just speaking for myself inasmuch as it applied to me. And yes, good point -- the disabling thing only works if it's truly bloatware, and unnecessary for the functioning of the phone. And I don't think it deletes it entirely, so there's that as well.
  20. Yeah, I understand fun, believe me, I just don't have time for that right now (hence the lazy comment). But my point was, if the only issue is bloatware, there's a halfway point between fully stock and a fully rooted device. One can disable the bloatware apps (and never see them again) with a stock (Android) phone.
  21. There are many instances in which sticky residue is a common yet undesired result. I mean, in attaching things. Perverts.
  22. Stock. I've removed that fucking NFL bloatware without even needing to add the developer options. I did (add the developer options), but I didn't need to. Also, lazy.
