Buying Tickets To Popular Bands Is A Bag Of Crap!
Dusty Chalk replied to roadtonowhere08's topic in Music
Really? I meant to mention -- I did find out that some of the shows sold out because they went on sale early, so I started 10 minutes early in some cases. (Though back then no-one knew about reverse IP defeats, so I probably ended up getting myself blocked, at least temporarily in some cases.) If you're on a large internet service, usually all you have to do is reboot to get a new IP. Or shut down for a bit, then boot back up (give them time to shuffle IP's). -
Top 100 best written shows, voted by Writers Guild of America

Disappointed not to see Sports Night nor Veronica Mars on either of those lists, happy to see some others (Deadwood, Buffy, Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks -- I really need to finish watching that). That reminds me -- every several years, I check to see if Wonder Years or My So-Called Life ever made it to DVD...(does the 'wanders off' thing)...I guess it's been a few years, because they both have. Of course, now I don't buy DVD's any more, I just stream or rent everything. -
Looks yummy.

First of all, you just generalized from a problem with the HD800 to all headphones, and that's a bit of a reach. The VTG is rather consistent from one amp to another, as is the MDR-V6/-7506. They scale, but not much. But it's not a fault, it's a design decision. Nominal impedance is actually frequency dependent and dependent not just on frequency but what all frequencies are playing at the time. Amps like the BHSE and the Blockhead actually defeat that by being rock solid and in control across all frequencies and frequency combinations.

That sucks, dude. Am familiar with it, I've given up on seeing larger bands since ...well (shudders) ... I really am getting old, since I think Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason tour was the last one I actually stood in line for, including online (I've tried online, but I've always failed -- now with automated everything, it's impossible to get past the scalpers). I've seen a couple big ones since then (Depeche Mode, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Bowie), but even most of those were in the 90's. Haven't seen a large concert in years. I'll still see: Laurie Anderson, Peter Gabriel, and Blue Man Group every chance I get. BTW, they're wrong to block you -- most of the scalpers have reverse IP lookup defeats. -
I'm waiting until September when they'll actually air over here, I'm in no rush, got plenty of other shows to watch in the meantime.

So Spotify said I might like Dirge, so now I'm listening to Dirge, and indeed, I like it. A little faster, vocals, but still good.

Well wishes, Lloyd. Good luck, CJ.

Uh...no, if my shit was pink, I'd probably need to go see my doctor. How did the beets work, Shelly? Everything else sounds like standard delicious smoothie fare.

I don't know about you, but I think it's the blue eyes -- they're creeping me out and I have blue eyes. -
So this replaces the entire client? Ah. I'll still try it this weekend, but I suspect I'll miss my apps too much, I've actually gotten a lot of good recommendations on that front page.

They are smaller, that's not your memory failing you. I think I heard that they're 30% smaller.

Nadja, When I See the Sun Always Shines on TV -- dirge-metal cover songs of My Bloody Valentine (okay), The Cure (of course), A-Ha (surprisingly good) and Kids in the Hall (WTFLOLCopter) Bonus track: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen from Numbness. Lollers/sauce-some Also, "Numb" -- a 20 minute dirge/noise masterpiece. I think my friend Dave said it best. "Jesus and Mary Chain called, they want their schtick back...oh wait.. hang on.... really? Pelican just called... they said they were totally high when they came up with name and... wait...conference call with Isis. I don't think they're fans." Love it. Lollers.

T-Rex wants bendy straws. And triceratopses in Vitamixes. -
(involuntarily shudders)

Orange is the New Black -- despite being a show about a women's prison -- many of them lesbian -- this show is surprisingly good in a non-exploitative way. I don't think I've ever heard, "Please keep it. Please keep the penis." and nearly cried with how sincerely it was delivered.

Jakob, Solace -- instrumental post-metal -- helps my day! And this sounds like it was written from the ground up as instrumental, rather than being released as instrumental versions a la The Ocean Collective.

I just like warm glowy shiny.

Lollers.

Oh, okay, I see what you're saying. I got nothing, it's probably written in Java on the Ubuntu version, and native in OS X.
