Anyone want to tell me what they announce besides the new iPhone? Is a new iTouch also being announced?

And now what did you do TODAY?
Good luck at the doctor, Dinny. I have two people I know with artificial knees, it's not by any means as ludicrous as the ankle story. Because of the whole "ball joint" thing that the ankle is (I think Vicki told me this), it's a lot harder to replace/fix than a knee. But still, hopefully it's not something that bad, and something that the doc will do something about. EDIT: Sorry, forgot one -- 3 people -- Hirsch being one of them. And that's an unseasoned pot, right? I mean, as much as you like bacon lard, it's not something you want to be smelling all day, right? And is that sea salt, or what? Wooden spoon to stir?

Oh, tha's brilliant, I just got to that episode. "Are you alright? You look a bit dizzy." "What about you? You're not even in focus." (swoon)

Oh, watch it. It's like nothing else I've ever seen. But definitely not a "share with your kids" kind of movie. It's kind of fucked up. Dandelions. EDIT: Although, aren't you in the wrong thread? (This is music videos, not movie videos.)

I wonder if I can use my dollar off coupon on that.

The trick with sinus infections (I get them all the time), is to keep it clear. Not just through meds like Sudafed and Afrin, but just plain blasting the congestion out with something like Simply Saline. But of coure, it's a double-edged sword -- you don't want to blast the insides of your sinuses so bad that they become inflamed -- that's counterproductive. Be gentle.

New Oppo player for late 2012
According to Wiki, ALAC was rendered open-source in late 2011 (a year ago), so they may be basing their decision on old information.

What type of phone do you have, Dinny? LMGTFY My phone is old enough that I can only tether via USB, but I have a friend who can tether wirelessly. You don't even need an app -- it's right in settings.

Also, they are by no means restricted to whatever they deliver, as they can always fix it in a software update, if someone can convince them to grawk's way of thinking.

Sammich. One of the daily specials from downstairs -- included hummus and guacamole/avacado. Boy was that sloppy.

Open Source still has requirements when using for commercial use, which is what this is.

New Oppo player for late 2012
Yeah, that was my assumption -- that it didn't. I mean, they had to change the connector just for USB 3.0...

I really need to do my own cooking. But I'm hungry now -- Denny's, or Ihop?

That sounds like a killer combination.

Which segues into the question (I am going to try to find a phrase to replace "begs the question" every time I am tempted to use it, until I find one I like) -- what connector(s) are they using/going to use for 4k? I thought I saw the Sony was wireless...

Seriously. And I have a friend who contracted Lyme disease earlier in the year. I haven't seen any ticks, but they're always mentioned in the same breath as fleas, so have become totally paranoid.

Apex Peak + Volcano
Musical Fidelity A3^CR + RCA->headphone adapter Also, ditch the HD800 if you like a warm sound. Go to HD650 at least. Someone else please feel free to step in here and correct me if I'm not remembering things correctly, as it's been years since I heard it, but HD800 is more in the "clinical" and "dry" end of the spectrum.

Thanks for the advice on mint and aloe, guys. I was talking with my ex, Julie, and I was asking her if there was such a thing as Frontline for humans, and she said, "it's called bug repellant". So I'm going to try some aloe and/or mint to see what I can repel. My cats will probably want to lick me if I have mint on, though, so I'm not sure that's better (other than the lack of fear of Lyme disease -- which is a big plus), so will probably try the aloe first. PS I love trains. I think it's really cool that you can go to completely different countries in Europe by trains, and have always wanted to do so.
