  1. Okay, this might be a first. The following clip includes gay porn, but it's used in a most amusing manner (and you don't actually see anything):
  2. I don't understand. Specifically the statement, "If people don't read them, the authors don't make it to a second book." If someone bought the book -- how does anyone know whether it was read or not? Why does it matter? It sold, didn't it?
  3. I had a real, live, in-person interview today! It went well, up until the end. Then he seemed to cut it short a little. I hope that's not a bad sign, but he leaves on Wednesday, so I think I should address it in an email, rather than wait for him to get back to me, as by then, the decision will have been made. (And yes, I think I know what the issue was.)
  4. And now, you can, too.
  5. I <3 Kevin Block videos. I'm a definitely going to have to consult him on my movie that I'm not writing. Re: Klaus Schulze -- I believe he still uses mostly that same set up, it's just him that's older (and the caps replaced, presumably).
  6. Dude, there are plenty of psychopathic and sociopathic chicks, you just need to look harder. I used to have a friend who said women fall in 3 groups -- taken, crazy, or far, far away. He married the first one who wasn't. I ran into him recently and told him that. He laughed. "Yeah, I guess I did."
  7. "Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats"? Never heard of them. What kind of music? I'm presuming there's at least a bit of a psychedelic influence (which to me is a good thing).
  8. Incorrect. Deftones do indeed often get lumped in with Korn, Limp Bizquik, et al, but they are not nu-metal. They are head & shoulders above. #1 - they don't do the rap thing. #2 - they have a bit of a gothy influence.
  9. Deftones, Diamond Eyes and Saturday Night Wrist -- I hadn't heard them do Ghosts (Japan cover) before. Me likey.
  10. That can get really annoying. Hope you get power back soon, Knucks. So you're using up your battery life on us? Wow, man, thanks for the dedication.
  11. As do I. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__aiKNPgKn8 It's like "Where the Hell is Matt?" except ( 1 ) in Russia, and ( 2 ) air crabcore.
  12. Linkin. Fucking. Park. Living Things
  13. Studied for tomorrow's technical phone interview with Google. Decided I wasn't anywhere near ready -- postponed. Grrr...
  14. Those make-a-wish foundation people really know how to deliver.
  15. That looks like a meat lover's paradise.
  16. I can't decide of WC Olo Garb is demented mad genius, or demented mad schizophrenic diagnosably needs medication -- I submit the entire video, but for those of you who don't have the patience to watch the whole thing (presumably those of us who are either ( a ) fascinated by dementia, or ( b ) really into synthesizers -- this is, after all, a 30 minute [!] synthesizer demo), check out the sequence from 9:23 to 11:13: EDIT: Srsly, WTF?!?
  17. Oh. Fuck. Yeah. Oh Land is working with Tricky.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b8W1tFFs3M This is funny as shit: Attack of the Show's Candace Bailey goes for a ride The laughs start at 2:27, but this is about cars, so you guys are going to watch the whole thing.
  19. Good luck with that. There's a reason I'm not in showbiz. Oh, hey, so that means the mother of your DJ friend since it's their sister, yah? Make them run interference if her wrath turns on you.
  20. Really? Oh, you mean REAL DIYers...
  21. It's called "post-rock", which has a strong legacy in the alternative pop-rock world, but you know, 'alternative' is so vague... I do like the "angel voices" analogy, though. I haven't heard the new one, but of the previous, () is still my favourite.
  22. Filling in for knucks a little bit:
