  1. lettuce tomato and onion -- I usually ask for spicy mustard (grey poupon, that sort of thing), but they always overdo it, so I just skipped it this time.
  2. Forgot about that, that actually does work pretty good -- it's basically a wired transceiver. (Wired rf transmissions >> air rf transmissions.)
  3. A protest of some sort? They look too serious for it to be a gag. Popemobile meets watermelon cart == teh awsum.
  4. Post sugar-cereal sugar milk is the best. Too bad it makes my stomache upset. Me: liverwurst samich
  5. I don't use mine any more. To paraphrase Nate, don't bother, they all suck. And it's true. I basically had to have the iPod right up against the radio in order for it not to keep cutting out, and it fell over more times than you can stake a Schick at. I think I killed that (my first) iPod. I don't do that to my second/current one. What I ended up doing is, on the back of most current head units is an "aux input" for an external changer -- there's usually adapters for that. I use mine all the time.
  6. "We're gonna need a bigger boat."
  7. Epicwin -- tyrn ye olde life into an R.P.G.
  8. (clic pic foar lotz moar)
  9. You should tell people it's solar wind. It's blowing outward from the sun all the time, but because it's photons, we don't feel it, but because RF waves are so light, they are blown about all the time.
  10. a very hot Reuben
  11. My doctor said I looked like I lost weight, so that made me feel good, despite feeling I am the most out-of-shape I've ever been, short of the early oughts (in which I had CFS). So I asked her to check to see if my thyroid was flaring up again (which would also explain the crankiness). No, I didn't mention the beer, but I just suggested that I shouldn't be losing weight, considering, amongst other things, that I'm not even exercising.
  12. The Fabulous Ginn Sisters, You Can't Take a Bad Girl Home -- oh yes I can. /me likes this
  13. Ah, didn't know about the 'jesusphone' moniker. Makes more sense now.
  14. 'Judasphone'? Wouldn't Achilles be a more apt reference point?
  15. tuna melt from Einstein Bros.
  16. Yeah, because once you go unicorn, you never go back.
  17. You should like Devo more (just because they're so cool and subversive), but I'm glad you wore the T-shirt.
  18. I'm not sure what I would've done in that situation. I would have wanted to do some clever reference to something he's done, but probably would have just stammered, awestruck. He's a god. I probably would've looked to see who he was with, considering he was married to Connie Booth. Oh, and me: part way through Sanshiro Sugata (aka Judo Saga). Really too bad about the missing footage.
  19. Mebbe you're cold-blooded?
  20. At first, I was like, "whu?", but then I realized: branding. In real life, I am less Vader, and more this guy: some hapless bastard
  21. I said, "fuck it", and drove to Delaware. 3 hours out, hour or so for dinner, hour more or so to sober up, 3 hours back -- yeah, that's my kind of 8 hour day. I think I listened to Pain of Salvation the entire time, but there might have been some Andromeda and Guilt Machine thrown in there. Also, I think I found Pain of Salvation's greatest song:
  22. Actually, she was great in that -- I didn't think she'd be able to pull off comedy, but she was awesome. Also, it wasn't subversive enough. I really liked what little subversion they had, but wish they had gone completely overboard with it. But then again, it wouldn't have been British if they didn't show restraint. No, wait, that doesn't explain Fawlty Towers.
  23. Nice, thanks for posting. I never thought I could enjoy beer vicariously, but I think I just did. Cheers!
