First of all, I believe this. But I don't think it's a matter of "everyone else is doing it, why can't we?" I think it's of a matter of (a) some phones are more prone to it than others -- mechanical engineering -wise; and ( some phones are more prone to it than others -- ergonomically. (I.E. the actual mechanics of each phones' antenna, and where the bad spot is relative to how most people hold it, respectively.) I think they downplayed this aspect from what little I know, and I am definitely looking forward to more information on this in the future (and I have no doubt there will be more information, as every cell phone company in the world rushes to prove that they're better for whatever reason). (I'm not looking forward to filtering out the information from the copy, however.)
Oh, and whoever the author of that "Apple has to issue a recall" article is probably eating his hat right now.
