What are you listening to Part Two
What are you two talking about? Nate has probably the most varied tastes of anyone on this board, and that's coming from a contender.

Ye Macce Threade
To me, it's all about real estate. 13" == 1280x800 15" == 1440x900 ~= 27% more real estate, so I would throw that in your oven bag and shake it. Me, personally, I intend to get two -- one of the tiny Sony Vaio Lifestylers with the 1600x768 8" screen, and a huge HP dv8t with the full 1080p 18" screen.

Audio Technica W1000X
I'm in for a pair, though I remain skeptical it's "L3000 awesome". If it's even 1/6 as awesome, it's still pretty fucking awesome.

Using a USB drive and DAC simultaneously?
Clean off your hard drive?/Reinstall the OS? The other thought is, don't run it off the external hard drive, use the internal -- load the files on the internal, then play (swapping out recently used and expected not to use again for a while files). I.E. Dew et, but do the above if you run into snags.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Would anybody be interested in a ceramic headphone stand?
Aren't all keg-pulls somewhat phallic/dildo-like? I'm pretty sure I've seen that in a video. Girls (And Beer) Gone Wild or something.

What are you listening to Part Two
Just finished sampling Valerie & Friends -- retro synthpop and electro goodness. Starting Morphine, At Your Service -- was listening to this earlier, need to go back to it. If you like sax and other reed instruments (baritone something on there, too), highly recommended. "...You're the bedtime story, The one that keeps the curtains closed, And I hope you're waiting for me, 'cause I can't make it on my own..."

Puscifer, "C" is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference HERE) -- the first two tracks, in particular -- "Polar Bear" and "The Mission (M is for Milla Mix)" -- rawk. This video is kind of trippy: This one is not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tU-hSpErIw

It's probably just Ray trying to drum up interest in the connector. Or ALO.

Joss Whedon's Dollhouse
Okay, only just finished watching it (didn't have a chance to, Saturday morning) -- jesus christ that was fucking amazing. I love the dialog -- the wearing black mini-speech, "splash of color", "who doesn't love a pun", the whole "you're never alone with a schizophrenic" slant (which would more correctly be stated, "you're never alone with a multiple personality"). And of course the story was great. And .

General DAC Questions/Tech Thread
8*44.1 == 352.8 352.8/192 == 1.8375 Whereas 192/44.1 == 4.3537... Easier math? It also might be easier math because 352.8 might be more natural choice for the intermediate value, given the calculations that gets it from one to the other. It also might be a complete red herring. Like "17 bit internal value" is really a fancy way of saying "we can do 16 bit math and keep track of one bit of overflow as a result of the instruction set".
