A little late, but I sadly quit buying hoegaarden the day I watched beer wars. And a lot of other beers.

I've been listening to the "Alt-Singer Songwriters" Genius Mix in itunes. Most of it is just dark enough to help/fit my mood. I haven't had the fortitude to pick my own music yet in a little over a week.

I've quit buying anything but refurbs for computers. A long time ago really. I don't need cutting edge tech, it comes at too high a price premium for my needs.

My understanding is anything that uses the USB-Audio profile will work. So it's still limited to 48/16

Yup. I still like my apple case. Very useful, good size, not super ugly, and easy to grip.

shouldn't be a problem. Just if you lose network, you lose the ability to control it iwth ipad/ipod/iphone

yes, the ipad can substitute for the monitor/keyboard/mouse except when there are network problems. I can recommend the dinovo mini keyboard for those occassions, but you'll also need a display of some sort.
