  1. Yes, but I'd bet even a GT250R is a fun little toy. 250 lb bikes are fun
  2. I was just looking at an aprilia RS125 It's too bad those aren't street legal...
  3. It's even worse than that...he's flying to see phish
  4. I'd buy a GT250R I love 250 sportbikes
  5. There are a not insignificant number of google searches that I do that end up with the first few links being to head-case, surprisingly enough.
  6. I nominate torpedo for HC of the year
  7. The esp950 is only truely good if you invest in a good amp
  8. You can nominate yourself for jacob's alternate award
  9. I repaired that post for him
  10. I played out exactly once ever. That was enough
  11. Oh, I promise no one is ever getting a recording of me playing bass
  12. Given that CDs were introduced in 1984, I'd say that $15 today is comparable to $7 then... I'd gladly pay $20 for good quality recordings from good bands. I do, often, in fact
  13. You can remove me from consideration, I'm not anywhere near in the running for this objectively.

    Ah, the supervolcano, woo!
  15. It's a value perception problem. CDs are $15-20 when DVDs are also $15-20. But really the problem is that the music that's getting distributed is terrible.
  16. Wow, me too
  17. Thing is, the record sales doubling wouldn't be a blip on the volume of cd sales. The markets are orders of magnitude different. And most people would say $2500 is a fortune for a turntable.
  18. Look at it this way: Why would jude insist on protecting RSA over all others? What benefit would he get? I'm fairly sure that one or two of the mods protect rsa, just as some protect other builders, but not as a conspiracy. They're just more aware of attacks on rsa than others because that's what they've paid attention to. As to why it matters, I'm not sure. There are lots of things in the world worth getting worked up over. RSA amplifiers aren't on that list for me.
  19. I know boomana sold her K1000s to buy a volume knob for her blue hawaii
  20. I'd write it off as human nature combined with incompetence, rather than directed action.
  21. Fretless is actually a little easier for me, sounds more right so I'm more likely to keep going.

I think I mostly prefer eating good food and being a little overweight. I got back down to 170 a few years back, then went to new orleans and rediscovered how good food can be. Now I'm hovering around 200 and am reasonably happy. I spiked over that during the holidays, so I'm working on getting back down, but I definitely don't feel the need to get back to 170 again.
  23. I love that lp
  24. May as well get a replacement carafe too. See above link. They're cheap and easy to replace.
