I've been mostly down on festivals for a long time. They're a good way to find ut what a bunch of bands are like live, but not a great way to see music otherwise.

Affligem is good stuff. If you like that, try the westmalle, too. Lambics I'm not a fan of.

Certainly. They have a tradition that involves brewing sake. Not so much with beer. If I'm drinking beer with my sushi, it'll be a beer that is suitable. Like a nice hoegaarden.

Kirin tastes like a beer you'd expect with from a culture with the history of japan. You can tell their brewng tradition in every sip.
