My god man, how do you breath? As for the rest I think the $299 is the two year contract price for the phone. You would have to pay significantly more to get one out of contract, most likely from ebay. As for functionality everything would work except for the phone function.

I also have both the 12Ls and A5 and find your assessment pretty much spot on. I am curious to try the A5s powered by something other then the built in amp. The A5s also have a bit of a balance issue at low volume levels. Thought I was going crazy till I read the FAQ on the AE website. I am using the 12Ls connected directly to a Buffalo DAC with a Volumite which works just fine. As for the power switches, the only reason I turn them off is because they are currently in my office/living-room/bedroom and the blue LEDs are pretty bright. I have half a mind to turn them down a bit.

Schweet! As for the laser I think I used mine once. I guess if you were doing a lot of cuts of the same material it might be a handy feature. Maybe I just like making all my cuts heavy or light:palm:

Received some RP Decades that were less than stellar. Might just be RP going down hill. Nice! Yeah hope you have been working out your back and shoulders if you plan to travel with it I have been lugging the 1730 around for a while, and while it's nice having a terabyte of on board storage and being able to game anywhere, it can get a bit old moving it around. I still think as a primary computer a high end gaming laptop is the way to go.

Those are some really cool IR pics. Might have to look at modding the D80 if it gets replaced.

I think somehow the photobucket link was embedded in the first. The youtube one is HD so looks a bit better at full screen. It's a pretty cool when the missile goes off the rail, we fly with our doors off and you can feel the heat of the motor as it leaves. Good thing we wear nomex.

Thanks Yeah it can be a bit harder than one would think. Taking a lot of pictures helps I think I need to learn PS a bit to make my pictures look better. Couple more of people living in literally the middle of nowhere. There was a lot of cropping in these. Not great shots but mildly interesting.

I have a slight hiss from mine that is not source related. Adjusting the gain does make it in increase/decrease. I didn't notice it till reading this and putting my ear right next to the tweeter. I do have a A/C unit that is constantly running so I would never have noticed it otherwise.
