We have a little HP mini-desktop for our little guy. He still has problems with trackpads but was pretty expert with a standard mouse almost immediately. Marc's suggestions with the kiddy websites are right on. Right now pbskids.org is his default website. He's pretty much self-sufficient now for most things except when the computer screws up (which is quite often since it's Windows xp).
It has already been installed in my balancing act by Craig and has been doing an exceptionally fine job. I can probably forward you the email from the US distributor if you want.
So I cannot sign up for 3G service because according to AT&T my address does not exist. If in one week this is not resolved I will be RMAing this iPad back to Mr. Jobs.
I also vote for harbeths. One because I have heard the 40.1s Two, I really do not care for speakers that have to be corner loaded to sound good. It restricts placement too much for my OCD.
All great suggestions. Definitely want something utilizing RPN (Still have a working HP 15c in my desk). I think I will give pcalc a spin even though it is not free, it looks to have some nice flexibility. Plus I can get the ipad and OSx version for $0.99 more than if I buy the OSx version alone.
