What did you do today?
@Vicki: Sorry about your sucky day. We will definitely have to work on some Chicago fun for CanJam. Me: Just found out that I should probably prepare a resaerch seminar. Now to decide on a topic.

I'll take that bet. You provide the Archaeopteryx.

Agreed. I'll have to watch my back on the walk home.

I sort of want a pair of good closed phones
Wow. Now I am trully impressed. You listened to all those phones, plus the ones with the recessed mids, on the same system during the same period? Trully amazing.

^^^ The D2000s do leak a fair bit.

The Great Head-Case Cable Debate
Based upon my ecotoxicology and personal experience we will merely have to agree to disagree on this one.

Canjam 2010.
Yes we had unused rooms for the 4th and 5th but all the rooms for the third (don't ask me why there were fewer rooms allocated on the 3rd) were reserved and extra rooms had to be added. I stopped trying to understand how they allocate rooms over the discount period after the 3675th email.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
Exactly. Knowing that makes it easy to fix. Have a drinking contest and the first one to lose their phone is the guinea pig.

I'm actually kind of surprised remote detonation is not part of their prototypes (and programmers).

Apple Tablet
Yep, already happened. Posting this from an iPad at BestBuy. Keyboard is really quite good and the browser is peppy on wifi.

I have a drinking problem...can't figure out what to drink...
^^^ That is a good ale.

I'm constantly amazed at how so many phones HPA listens to that have "recessed mids". It seems so consistent that my hypothesis is that the listener's receivers have low sensitivity in the mids.

The Great Head-Case Cable Debate
[rantOn]In a science class you should teach science. You do not necessarily have to just teach the straight and narrow but subjects that are absolutely not science have no place in a science curriculum. For homeopathy, some of its tenets have been experimentally validated, some have not. The point is, most of its claims are testable, even if it may be difficult to do so. I see no problem with it being part of a science class.[/rantOff]

Canjam 2010.
^^^ Yep. I have a whole raft of stuff on my CanJam list this morning so I will be talking to Alyssa and will report back. MusicDirect will most likely be there but they are one of numerous vendors that have not finalized the details yet.

Apple Tablet
Yep, but any movement at this point is a positive sign.

woodworking types: old lumber
Beech and Red Beech are not the same. Currently they are not only different genera but are in different families.

Apple Tablet
Ah, that makes sense. My order status has not changed, it still says late April. Jeff, does Rowmote add anything beyond what iteleport offers?

Apple Tablet
So I awoke this morning to an email from the Apple Store. Excitement quickly turned to "No Shit Sherlock" as I read it:

^^^ This. IMO the D5000 and D7000 are not significantly better than the D2000. All of them are comfy but the D2000 are the comfiest because of their weight.

The Headcase Stax thread
Some of the "guys" here would probably also recommend taking a look at some of the pro units especially those made by metric halo/sonic studio.

I'm sticking with my guess.
