jeff what camera are ^ with? exif viewer doesnt seem to want to tell me. i really like the first one. is there much difference between the nex 5 and the 5n. i dont know what to do with anything past ISO 3200 as things get too weird for me so not sure the super iso would be of use but is the performance at say ISO 3200 for the 5n?

I had to be woken up twice the last time I had to go in for one. "Dude, for the second time, wake up. How are you falling asleep in there...?" Hope everything turns out ok.

Just logged into the site with Iswifter. Works great. Thanks g. I will miss my tp but the iPad does everything now.

I really like it. Is there anything that can open a flash based site on the iPad? I know there are browsers that do it to some extent but dont know if it is any reliable. Basically can do everything on my iPad except hw on this one website. Have to carry my laptop around for just that one reason.

mx 518 is good. i still use a razer copperhead. something from razer would be my suggestion. 1 year no questions asked replacement policy. just send them the mouse and they send you a new one. dont know if logitech does the same or if it as painless. really depends on how serious he is. a lot of kids that i used to play with (ones who played professionally for quite a while played with the free dell mouse that came with their desktops. mx518 is kinda boring looking. razer mice have cool led's. might be up his alley if he is into that sort of thing. i do have an old mx518 that i could pop in the mail for you if you like. it looks used but works just fine. i am not using it anymore. wired > wireless. no dead batteries when you are about to get the perfect hs on some asshole. or latency issues. very annoying when you finally find time to wind down and kill some kids (online...) and your mouse battery is about to die out.

All Indians are essentially the same Matt. I love that show. Only wish they would substitute someone with a less annoying voice/pronunciation than penny. Can't stand the way she talks but the show is funny enough to make me tolerate her.

Great pictures Haj. Some interesting lights I saw at a burger joint (Burger Fi) which wasn't particularly good. 5 Guys and Le Tub still winning.

played around with the sunset picture but couldn't get the sun to come out with clean outlines without undoing what i wanted to do with the photo - make it dark so just the outline of the truck were visible but still have the sun stick out. thoughts/suggestions in general are welcome.

another thing ive noticed is the automatic metering. the camera said this was at 0ev but i distinctly remember it being lighter around there. ive had similar experiences with pictures i take out in the sun where there is plenty of light. they all seem to come out a tad darker than they "should?" did nothing to the attached file. just converted to jpg in lightroom and reduced size by 50%. the white wall seems beige. the red doesnt seem to "pop" as it does in real life.

tooling around with the nex 5 and the 35mm zeiss. was trying to see if i could get any dust to show up but nice and clear sensor.

i haz a clean sensor. i haz a happy. thanks knuckles. it only really showed up at around f11 And beyond but knowing there was dust there prevented me from using the camera as much as i had been. now it goes back in the daily ensemble.

Just get an nex 5 and some leica/zeiss glass and be baller. Should only have to extend that budget just a wee bit.

I got mad dust on the nex 5 sensor. Self cleaning don't work. blowing air just reseats the dust. I got it on FM so Sony says $100. Any thoughts?
