12 to 16 predicted here overnight. There's a couple inches on the ground right now but the worst isn't due until later. It's frackong cold - 7F on the walk to work.

Glad you made it home Ken and that the injuries are no worse than they are. Take it easy as much as you can. All of them are going to require time to heal properly.

I don't have a large head and I can wear the LCD-2s for hours without an issue.

^^ I agree with everything this guy says (at least in this case ). Start small, see if you really enjoy it before sinking hundreds/thousands into the parts and tools needed to build something like a beta22/dyna. I also share the sentiment that the beta²² has an unacceptably high failure rate. I haven't built one in years and I know that Ti has changed some part values to make it more robust but I haven't stayed in touch enough with those building them enough to know how much of a difference it has made.

I went from 40 to 46 and it was a nice bump but obviously won't feel as big coming from a 42. 50 would have been too big for me unfortunately because of window spacing and viewing distance but that's the mark I would have like to hit. When the old Sony bites it I'll put something at least that size in the "other living room" since it has a 12' viewing distance.

If my living room could have accommodated a ST50 that's what I would have bought. That said, the 46" Sammy that we did buy is a big step up from the old Sony 3-LCD unit that we had. I didn't realize how sad that TV looked until I watched the 2 back to back.

I share your like of Ms. Rickards. Her character is great and the show is better than decent most times. Great, no, but fun.
