Ye Macce Threade
As was pointed out to me, Gizmodo's main mistake in all of this was paying for the property and not simply paying for the privilege of examining the property. If they'd done the latter Apple wouldn't be able to do squat.

Help Putting Together a Fanless PC
Where from and how much? I was bummed to find that my Buffalo Link Station is damn near impossible to configure with Slim Server and I'd love a one box solution to that and the RND appears to support it natively.

Audeze LCD-2
I partially misinterpreted the graph so it's probably best to ignore my previous comment.

What are you listening to Part Two
It's a Neko kind of morning... Was Now Next

Audeze LCD-2
That FR is uncannily flat for a headphone.

Post the last thing you bought!
Should match/stack well with the Adcom pre that I have. I'll still casually hunt for a RR2150 but this buys time and more importantly will get me up and running.

Airline fu#!ed up my TF10
Yup, sounds like DC offset. Probably doesn't take much to cook a set of IEMs.

Opinions Sought (remolding of IEMs)
Having experienced Fisher's service first hand I second this motion. They are, unfortunately, nice folks who don't do particularly great work. I just received my remolded triple-fi's back from their second refit (which too a month) and can't comment about the sonic aspect of things this time around but from what I heard the first time they were simply ok.

Ipod Touch / Iphone
I'm not a lawyer but I'm guessing that Apple would have to have some pretty compelling evidence/reasons to get a judge to sign a warrant given the political and media implications of this action. This story just gets weirder by the day. [edit]I listened to some compelling arguments this morning for the case that Gizmodo did actual harm (in the monetary sense) to Apple and this search backs up that this may be Apple's position moving forward. I think we're likely to see a multi-million dollar case against Gizmodo claiming lost sales of current products as the primary reason.

Help Putting Together a Fanless PC
Would the Lenovo Q700 work? I have a Lenovo Friends and Family account and might be able to help get that to damn close to $500. And in your budget I'm not sure fanless is a reasonable request.

Which kind do you need, 4-pin or dual 3-pin?

What did you do today?
It's both a blessing and a curse to have the extra time. On the one hand it'll make things less stressful than trying to get it all done in a weekend or whatever but on the other hand it'll draw the process out and make it seem like more of a burden. At least that was my experience. My advice would be to give yourself no more than a week to do the move, that's what we did and it seemed to drag it out long enough. Also, if you have any plans of painting rooms or anything like that do it before you move anything in. Congrats regardless and just keep in mind that it'll be over soon enough and that you'll quickly forget how much of a pain in the ass it is/was.

What did you do today?
Currently drinking a quiet cup of coffee with the wife, Lily is staying with her Nana and Papa today (and last night). In a little while I'll once again start the yearly tradition of mowing the lawn.

I don't like the sound of that.

Netflix Streaming Coming to PS3
The hi-def downloads are few and far between and seemingly random. The real problem is that the regular def stuff looks awful scaled up.

What did you do today?
Do your self a favor and buy one of these if you don't have something like it, it's the best $30 I ever spent. Irwin Unibit #1 High Speed Steel Fractional Self-Starting/Hole Enlarging Step Drill Bit, Model# 10231 | Step Drill Bits | Northern Tool + Equipment Ignore the picture, it's from 1/8" to 1/2" although the one that goes up to 7/8" is pretty handy to have as well. I got a set of 3 back when I started and still use all of them all the time. My dremel is almost entirely ignored, it's too unwieldy. The vid would be very cool but I fear 9" may be tough to accommodate some days. I've had designs on doing something custom but like just about everything else I dream up it stays in the mist.
