I started the feeding frenzy is that is submitting my information to TruCar to see about getting a 2015 Honda Odyssey EX-L. Want to get the Touring Elite but it's a lot of extra money for stuff we don't need/want and a few things we do want but don't need. Already have my CarMax valuation on the trade in.

Right now I'm very interested in the whole Pioneer Elite Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 system. That would include the speakers with the upward firing Atmos speakers designed by Andrew Jones who was at KEF. The few reviews I have seen are complementary of the system. The new MCACC PRO system appears to meet my needs. As I looked more and more at the Genelec system and the issues getting power to all the monitors and making sure that the video and audio were in sync etc I have basically given up on that.

^ LOL. Should have said any headphone. It was impulse response function based and I needed to measure both phones but it was fun. I guess I still have most things I need for it though I'd need to get a new mic-pre and analog-digital converter.

Congratulations. Very cool. I did some spare time work doing frequency and phase correction to headphones. I could turn your Hd800 into anything you wanted. I developed my own math. It was geeky fun.

You speak some truth. My only thought was if I wanted to set the kids up watching shows while mommy and daddy hang out upstairs a projector would likely be a PITA compared to a regular large TV. Projector would likely be kick ass for movies in the long run though.

No Apple products or IP here. I do like the cut the cord aspects. FireTV is a good idea. The Genelec Room Correction is supposed to be superior to the Audyssey stuff. Certainly more tunable.

Not entirely on topic but my wife and I are finally moving ahead with getting plans drawn up for digging out the basement at our house to make a HT/Kids room/guest room. I'm getting rather excited about the whole thing and while I will not be able to set up the room perfectly (speakers are going to have to be wall mounted) I'm going to get around that with some technology. Right now I'm thinking BD-Player and Cable Box -> 65" TV, HT Reciever -> 8 channel AD converter -> AES digital-> 3 Genelec 8330 + 4 Genelec 8320 (or maybe 4 more 8330) + Genelec 7350A Sub running Genelec GLM network and room correction. We'll see what the budget comes out at. Another option is making it movies only and skipping the cable box downstairs.

Lost my Maui Jim Sunglasses in IKEA. Very annoying. Trying to decide what to replace them with. Also went to look at a potential house that cost a fortune and realized just how expensive it is around here when a reasonably OK kept but not well kept home is north of a <Dr. Evil> One Million Dollars <\Dr. Evil>. Trying to figure out budgets etc is a PITA.

It's a XL frame. According to what I have read my reach should match my road fit but it should have more stack. This should do that.
