  1. C1 and C2(5pF) missing I forgot, the 170/389 silks and stuff look good(I can't read the DGS but regardless it's correct by the silk)
  2. You are right. What about RV2/R44/R45? Is Rev 0 the correct board? EDIT: correct amp board
  3. Wiper should be connected to -500. Same for both channels(same for last post above also)
  4. I only circled one channel. All of the ECB/jfet pin designations look correct to me.
  5. Probably works as good as the software driven Musiland 02(not on thier comparison chart) which isn't a bad converter at all. I was leaning hard toward the Audiophilleo 1 because it connects directly to the dac input, but ended up trying the Bridge instead.
  6. The pins are square. I got .020 on the flats and between .0235 and .0240 from corner to corner. Regardless, they still fit(on my board anyway), all be it very very snug. I don't see any problem reaming the holes out, if needed, as long as one makes sure to properly solder both sides of each lead(both sides of the board.)
  7. Do a search on hf for bada bing(I don't know exactly the corrct spelling) as he has built both b22 and m3 and last we talked working on dynahi.
  8. A community of friends is more apt.

    Canjam 2010.

I gotta listen to Ari's 800s and someone's RS-1s on the Ghost using my source and vowee, the sound was so fair!!! Superb amp and totally satisfying setup.
  10. The heat is relative. After working on the DynaFET, everything else seems not even warm. I had a chance to listen to a balanced B22 at a meet side by side with mine. B22 is a good amp. Either one will crush yer scull with good sound. Put me in the M3 camp with the others. Grawk has the recipe for success imo. I would go with higher rails/good ps and choose a good attenuator as Nate explains.
  11. I'm ready to wire this thing up. Do you use the series resistor on the yellow wires for your stuff Birgir? The two parallel resistors on the SRD-7 schematics, primary side of the transformer.
  12. Especially your memory foam pads Steve. Very comfy and form fitting. I listened to yours with manaox using Justin's GS-1/sony cdp and it was out of this world. I wanted to hog 'em so bad but others were waiting to listen. On the hp graphs. Where is the one showing the input signal to make sure it doesn't change throughout the sweep? I can't test anything without one channel on the scope showing the input. It's the main reason for my upgrading function gens.
  13. I was ready to join the "I can't tell the differene" crowd, cause I've tried it many times before, pushing the invert button on the dac. Finally I found a song that if I turn it up a little, I can clearly hear the difference. Like Kevin said, one is right and the other wrong. The other 40-50 songs I couldn't tell. Fitz, maybe we can all go in together and share a community pair. Only way I can listen to them is if I sell everything else I got.
  14. X2 on the Google Docs. Easy to learn and manipulate. Very successful on diyA for many group buys that I have participated in.
  15. I did, with Tom's HF-1(or HF-2 can't remember) and the beezar dac, that little one. It sounded very good to me. Didn't get a chance to talk with Doug, but talked with Tom about the tubes used and the fact that availability shouldn't be a problem, as well as potential tube rolling possibilities. Maybe there will be more than one set output transformer that could be used by the builder, all having the same pcb footprint. Maybe we can hear more at a meet soon. Chicago isn't all that far for me.
  16. Both you guys are sooo magnetically attractive and fun to hang out with. I can see that after you both had a chance to meet the others and hang out for a couple of days(and nights ) , you got the sense that you were among real friends. Friends that love you just the way you are. No matter what. I'm like Birgir. I'm humbled that you would confide in us. It makes friendship something more. Adrian is right in that if we were all the same it would be very boring. Both of you are anything and everything BUT. Thanks for being you.
  17. Just got my stuff set back up and am listening to it now. Sounds ok after 2 hours, if a little weird. Definitely different.
  18. I got it to work a little later on. You probably watched me select usb dac or something, and later it gave bridge as one of the playback devices in the list. I didn't wait long enough for windows to do it's thing I guess. Wasn't it though. Liked Kevin's nova basic better than my 404le. Didn't get much time with his O2 before they were defiled. Can't remember off the top of my head, but I think the 1862 is used in the 7000 and/or mkII. My mkIII has PCM63s.
  19. Just pulled in. I couldn't imagine a better bunch to hang with. You guys are the best. Hope each makes it home safely and look forward to the next time we all meet. Mucho thanks to all the Chicago team for putting this together and all that you do. Had a great time. Thx again Chris.

    Canjam 2010.

It was surreal. Like a HC lotto or something. Since they all seem to party exceptionally well, getting them drunk and swopping tickets is prolly out of the question.
