Moar better sounding is good, but not if it is too uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time. The Yammy HP-1 is the only supra that I have had good luck with in that regards. Just wondering, can someone explain the differences between the Lambda Nova Sig, Classic, and basic, and same question for the numeric Lambdas (SR404-202). Also, what the heck is a Lambda Spirit?

Just picked mine up yesterday too. Two weeks of classes left, then finals week, then I walk.

I actually wanted them as Alphas, in the stock frame. Might have played with damping, but no SR-X shells for me. I just hate supraural, especially if there is any good alternative. However, someone just passed me at Y21000, which was already pushing it a bit. I like my normal bias Lambda about as much as anything. Better than my Pro bias, and similar to my SR404 ().

Diaphragm, damping, same thing. It is freaking annoying sometimes, but I havnt gotten around to trying to do anything about it yet.

I sorta figured, but never really knew for sure. Probably worse on the pair I have because there is no foam over the dustcover. Its really very loose, though I guess it needs to be at least to an extent so that it doesnt act as a second diaphragm. Aspects of these headphones are amazing, but other stuff just doesnt seem to be as well thought out.

Crinkly type sound? I get that too, or when I open my mouth while wearing them. All of my Lambda series can be made to do it, but it takes much more work. You basically have to be trying on those, it seems.

Indeed you will. Got fairly lucky on the timing, ended up only costing $250 for everything. Flying out of BWI on US Air at 6:10am Wednesday, connections in Vegas, then onward to arrive at SFO at 11am. Return leg is nonstop on Airtran, leaving LAX at 11:30pm Sunday, arriving at BWI around 7:30am the next day.
