What's in da baaaahhhhhxxxxx? Some parts. Darker blue than we thought. Happiest kid in the world in this moment. **BRENT**

  • Liked the Turbo Vado Super Light so much, I bought another one in Michigan. Same silver and black. We couldn't find Claire an SL in Northern Michigan or online so we got her the  regular Turbo Vado 5.

  • I bought an e-bike. Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 Super Light 2022 edition. Claire got a 4.0 step-through.

Went for a fairly leisurely 58 miles today as part of the Armed Forces Cycling Challenge.

Was acting as a domestique/rabbit for a friend of mine for the majority of it other than the last lap. One of these years I'm going to ride this for myself and stick with one of the peletons so I can actually get a gold metal rather than silver.

When are you going to come to Chattanooga and ride? The flat roads are worse than the bridges. You'll <3 the pain! Bring Raffy, he can pull you up the hills.

Any of the local guys know the best place to rent a MTB for Colin?  Big Wheel Bikes seems to be about the best I have found.

Sorry Jeff no help, i've never rented a bike in this area.

.....

Same here though I think a video of Colin riding a Capital Bikeshare bike on a trail would be epic

I can't help with a mountain bike but a road bike I can probably lend depending on size.

Road should be easy but I think Colin is trying to decide between a full suspension or a carbon fiber HT from Big Wheel for the Saturday MTB ride.

If i come ill bring medium tallboy

We are talking about doing an early Rock Creek Park road bike ride on Sunday as well.

I'm busy Saturday but if the Sunday road ride happens I should be able to make that :D

At this point I think it is happening, but that depends on how we are after the MTB excursion I guess.

Got to try out the lights tonight.  Brighter than I had expected and after a short ride the lights are able to stay lit up for a good ten minutes which will be helpful at stop lights and signs.  The install turned out nicely outside of brake cables getting in the way of some of the beam.

All this fuss about lights.  Seriously?  What happened to good, old fashioned night vision specs?  The green glow .. the tracer tracks ... the time delay ..  :indra:

Black ops ninja letting slip. Must have been drinking without posting!

I already have two sets of NV, I had no dynamos and I only like stuff that is shiny and new.

I may be interested. I really need to start riding more and eating/drinking less.....

I did 30 miles of the century ride last year.

I am hoping to do better this year ;)

It was a last minute thing last year as i got a call from a friend that his wife was not going the day before.

I took the steel Serotta with a compact crankset and 12-25 in the back. I was really hurting for a 28 in the back. Ha ha

This year i will stack the deck a bit as I am taking a CF bike with compact/12-30... :P

The climbing takes place within through initial 70 miles. This year the route is a bit different because of some road work. No Antietam.

Having said that i don't think i will be able to keep pace with you guys.

I'm bringing a compact/11-32 for the Diabolical Double, so you're not going to hear anything from me regarding your compact setup :D

I am aiming for twice as high; minimum!!

Looking like this rain might put a dent in our mtb plans.
