No offense but fuck you Doug. I don't need to hear that.

  • Jay Leno is such a douche it's unbelievable. I'm about to lose my brother and I'm having a good cry watching this.

The top YouTube comment is not too far off: "I feel like these people all met through their weed dealer."

But I like it a lot.

I’m not a fan of the obvious autotuned vocals, but the underlying song itself is cool and this video is amazing.  I would have thought it was digitally manipulated all to kingdom come—and it is—but the underlying performance is smooth as something really smooth.

Respect.

Toss a coin to your Witcher!

Sooooo catchy!

And they covered a Billie Eilish song, too!  Although this one they played “straight” — which I think was appropriate:

Liam Gallagher, absolute twat, but one does have to admire his continued commitment to what it says on the sign.

Dream a Little Dream of Me – Kina Grannis (made famous by the Mamas and the Papas):

I was fooled time and again by this...

poor vid quality and recorded in what looks like a club.

but whomever was recording the session, knew what they were doing, and Haley brings it.

Big in Germany – All German #1s of the 80s:

Just as random from YouTube... a vocal critique of Elizabeth Fraser singing in Massive Attack's Teardrop (from Mezzanine)

Modern Talking?  hmmm

And Nice to see that Ofra Haza was big there.

?

because youtube recommendations from my watch history...

thanks HiWire

After watching that list, I feel lucky that I escaped the '90s (mostly) intact... the horror. So much crap.

?OMG Whigfield amirite?

I think the lesson here is that #1 hits are not necessarily the most beloved music, simply the most popular at some given time. I get a lot fewer warm fuzzies watching '90s videos, having lived through all of it.

Too old to directly relate to this but I get sort of Joy Division vibes updated to now through dance music?

That’s actually pretty good synopsis.

That said, I was laughing at her not with her when she said, “can I post that?” ...so I can’t relate to it neither.

Unrelated (I doubt you’ll be able to relate to this one either) :

I could not. :(

Can, on the other hand, totally relate to this. Neil Tennant can still write a melancholy tune.

Unrelated:  Minor Victories have probably been posted before, but I am new to them.  They’re one of those bands that don’t really have a best song, so I’m just posting one or two of them.

They do have a best video, however.
