  • STATUS UPDATE: TKD has confirmed the GB order including the pots with extended shafts, and started production. So now we wait

  • I might be able to make it work. I decreased the pad size a bit on the 2500. Slots are defined in milling layer 46. I will need to switch the sections of the 4CP601 to the 4CP2500 since the 2500 overl

  • As promised, here are photos of the three boards. @pars: no, unfortunately I do not have any pots to test the fit yet.

Quick update;

I tried placing order with Seeed 3 times over the past two days and kept running into problems. I have e-mailed Seeed's customer support and hope they can resolve their web site issue soon. Will continue to try and keep you all posted.

^I had a pleasant exchange with PCBwin, the boards were very nice and at least 1/3 less the cost of Seed and PCBway.

Update: the PCB orders have been placed with Seeed. Pars and I have been working with Seeed on the plated-through slots so I prefer to stay with them.

As it turned out, the problem I encountered during ordering relates to the optional message I wanted to attach to the order about these slots. I ended up sending the message as a separate e-mail to Seeed to circumvent this issue.

Thanks John.

I checked PCBwin out. Their quote process does not allow for PCB that's smaller than 10mm x 10mm and ended up calculating out to be more expensive than Seeed although I am not sure I did it right. Will check it out again in the future.

Boards came in yesterday. I am happy to report that the rectangular plate-through slots come out as intended. Will take and post a photo when I get home early enough from work to catch some daylight.

We still have a few GB participants that have not made payments yet. Please PayPal to gmail.JPG

Cool... Interested to see pics. Do you have a TKD CP2500 you can test fit, even a stereo pot?

Got word from TKD; the pots shipped out earlier this week from Japan, and according to the tracking number they are currently being processed by swedish customs. Should have them in my hands in a few days.

... and pots are now in (well, at my local post office, but out of the hands of customs anyway, so I can actually pick them up tonight).

Will test them during the weekend as well as sort out the pot-boards US-Europe logistics with mwl168 in best possible way to keep shipping rates down.

How do you plan on testing the pots? I need to do the same thing as well

I think I'll focus primarily on channel balance rather than absolute tracking. I'll check a few in the latter sense as well, but of the pots I've had from TKD so far, all have followed the curve quite well.

Paid for 1xCP601 and 3xAllInOne boards.
